It really will be dependent on which woods you go with and how you mix the parts. I bet there are a few combinations that won't be great, but overall a Frankensteined table should be good.

This way if like you live in a one bedroom apartment now and don’t have room for more than a lilliput then it’s all good and you can always get a bigger table when you get a bigger place. And again, I LOVE it (see my other comment) but i was thinking and would love to get Dougs answer on this because it's a shop management issue: Aren't you risking getting stuck in alittle of what Keystone had an issue with? In regards to the massive stocking of inventory. Sure not as bad but still... You don't buy the legs from outside and order in bulk to get the prices down so thats a bonus but to have a quick turnaround of the inventory you'll have to keep only a very small amount of everything or build to order. The 44'' side is the same but you still need it in 7 woods (minimum) the legs you need in 4 lengths and 7 woods, 28 variations, then the different lengths is another 28 variations minimum That is a massive amount of inventory if you don't want to keep building to order every time. So what's your idea on this? What's your solution to not getting stuck where Keystone was? My own solution would be: Sticking with "in-house" production and short supply chains, but is it enough?

It is a good question. We are manufacturing all of the parts - so we will be able to control inventory levels. Inventory bloat only starts to hurt when you are working through suppliers with very large minimum order quantities. Because WE are the supplier on almost everything we can just build what we need, when we need it.

I will be getting 2 tables my wife wants one for the dinning room and I want one for the game room. With the "core", "side", "topper" +accessories we will be able to mix and match so many possibilities. Like Wenge topper with Cherry core and Black Walnut sides and mix accessories between the wood types

I 100% understand why you wouldn't be able to include such mix and matching in the visualizer simply due to the sheer number of permutations, but it would be interesting if down the road I could put cherry legs on a black walnut base.

Interested in the counter height legs mentioned after 1:30. Beyond that, would like an option to cut the counter height legs and add some pegs (or a better option) so could be used as a coffee table normally but put the extra length back on to go up to counter height for gaming or dining. May seem odd, but I live in a condo with a 16ft x 16ft open living/dining space and just have counter height chairs at the the kitchen counter peninsula. (Decent sized space, but a square space is not ideal to jam a dining table in.) Probably too specific of a use case. And if the counter height legs are solid could modify them myself. (And nice to be able to order just the legs after I inevitably mess it up the first time.)

I tested the visualizer and found no bug. Good work ;-) But I really think the pictures for the smaller tables should be bigger. Without zooming, it is very hard to see the details of the lilliput.

So, you said you are locked into your base wood, but I'd really love to see some examples of frankentables. I know you guys know the product better than anyone right now, but some of your woods go really nicely together. I'm a particular fan of the white maple and the Wenge. I can definitely see some mixing and matching there being lovely. Plus, your visualizer already lets us mix and match toppers to tables, why not legs to stretchers?

So when you decide to upgrade your liliput into a bigger table, you get new sides and new legs and the old ones go where? Closet/Trash ? It also seems that to go from liliput to a medium table would essentially be the same as building a medium table once you factor in that you need a new side, new legs, new topper and everything else. That seems like building a whole new table rather than upgrading a "modular" one material cost wise.

My husband and I are talking this over and we have a question for you guys: Say we were to get a Liliput to start out with because it works for our budget now but in a year we want to get the conversion kit to make it a larger size dining room table. We are left with 4 Liliput legs and 2 side that are now obsolete. What are we to do with that beautiful wood? If we have no intention to go back to the Liliput we have perfectly good pieces that aren't being used. Would you consider some kind of buy back program to keep those pieces in circulation? Is that a dumb idea?

Why wouldn't somebody else in the community buy them from you? There are going to be people who couldn't afford new, but could swing used. I mean, honestly? I'm thinking about getting two "core tables" and collecting parts as needed. The base of the vault is apparently modular plywood with felt over it, and at some point they're going to have to sell replacement modules for when someone inevitably breaks one of the boards in their table.

It's furniture, there's going to be a second-hand market. It's modular furniture, so there's going to be a second-hand parts market, from people like you who upgrade, and from people who downsize as their life changes. Imagine somebody moves from suburbs into an apartment: your Lilliput legs will let them keep their dining room table as a stonkin' 'uge living-room piece, instead of having to rehome it. Wrap the dining room legs in bubble wrap and stand them in the closet until they have a bigger apartment, or trade them on.

Also, I'm on the East Coast of the USA, and just went several days without power. Disasters happen. People will rebuild as they can with materials that are available when they can afford to get their gaming table back. Maybe they will buy new. Maybe they will buy used. Maybe they will buy some of each? Maybe they will only need a few replacement parts. There's going to be a second-hand market, and you'll probably be able to get between 1/4 and 2/3 of the original price out of any pieces you have that you want to move on, depending on wear and tear and demand. Wyrmwood has a great brand, aspirational products - does anyone considering this not WANT to have a Prophesy, if they had the space and the money? - and a reputation for quality products made well. As long as they continue to make good on those implicit commitments, these products will retain value. Think of it this way: You want a Maserati. You'd really like an Alpha Romeo. Right now you can afford a Fiat. If you prefer German automotives, you want a Porsche, you'd like an Audi, but right now you can afford a VW. The first three are all Fiat Chrysler cars. The second three are all Volkswagen cars. You want a Prophesy. You'd really like an 8 person modular dining-room table with toppers. Right now, you can afford a Lilliput, or a 4 person table. All of them are Wyrmwood, and you won't even have to trade in your modular table to upgrade.

Question (I may have just missed the statement): Are the conversion kits going out with this KS? If not what kind of timeline can we expect on their release, and most importantly how much are they? As amazing as y’all’s products are, I don’t want to spend enough money on a table and a conversion kit to cover the cost of two tables. I also don’t want to purchase a product if the upgrade for said product does not release until 5 years from now. This knowledge drastically changes my purchasing decisions regarding size and material.

So just a question lets say in 3-5 years a lot of people have upgrade from one size to a bigger or maybe smaller. Would be an idea that their could be a buyback option down the line for saying I don't need the other parts because you upgraded/downgrade to what you have now. You could then have a second hand table store so these find would are always used and the wood doesn't go to waist. It is quality wood we are talking about and it would be a shame not to think about some of the conversion kits just sitting their not being used or collect dust.

I like the look of the Espresso Maple, but it appears super-dark, nearly as dark as Wenge (and downright black in one of the videos). If there was a lighter version of wenge, I'd get that, but as it is I'm going with black walnut. Good luck!

Ok, well, I was wondering how this'd work, and now I'm getting myself two Cherry. Two Black Walnut is a liiiittle out of my comfort zone, and my entire living/dining area is one room. BUT. What does the introduction of the modular table mean for those of us with deposits on a Prophecy/Sojourn? Totally separate production lines, or are we getting bumped?

@@WyrmLyfe I think we'll have to wait for the kickstarter to fund the acquisition of Keystone before production restarts. If table production is headed for PA, I wouldn't expect expensive raw materials to be bought and shipped to PA until the legal stuff gets settled, and they certainly won't stack wood up in MA just to ship it to PA later (or have it lying around for a few months to build in MA). Tables that had wood already in MA when lockdown hit are probably the ones that have been finished up the last few updates. It may be a few more months.... There is a small hint buried in the 2nd July update though. There's a picture of Prophecy parts in what is probably intended to be some sort of shipping box....

Johnny and myself are starting up Prophecy production this week, it will be a bit slow going to get it rolling again, but we have the A-Team on it! Our goal is to be building twice as many Prophecies a week as before to get tables out faster
