Here in England we call this a ‘Cobbler’ cos the topping looks like old cobble stones that were used before Tarmac on roads. Basic veg were used underneath for a hearty cheap meal. This looks wonderful. I shall be trying your recipe, thanks. Loving your videos.

@@tristandash3337 For ours to be “a cobbler” it needs to be a sweet fruit dessert. Some say “cobbler type topping “ if it is a savory dish with a biscuit topper.

I just love this recipe!! And your channel! I come from a cold weather climate. Northern Utah where all of the ski resorts are. Winters and comfort food!! I love how you keep it so classic and simple. You use your hands. You don't dirty up alot of dishes. The roasting and oven use just warms the house too. Thank you. I'm no longer in super cold weather, but I i still always crave comfort foods! God Bless you and take care. 😅

nothing better - nothing !! warm, comforting - the meatiness of the chicken, the sweetness of the veggies, the richness of the gravy, and of course, the bisquit (nuff said) !!! perfection in a pan. Plate it up and pour this southern girl a glass of sweet tea and I'm good to go !!!! If you ever want to try something a wee bit different, try adding some sliced fennel - incredible !!! thanks for sharing this classic, timeless and most delicious recipe with us !!!

Using biscuits atop the filling instead of traditional double crusts on a pot pie is a super and delicious recipe twist and idea! I love it! Yes...I'm going to do it for a special dinner for a very special friend...and I must be impressive and this will do the trick...he kind of loves to cook whereas I'm a very good cook but I've got him beat at baking and desserts! ...Thank you, Caleb (Kaleb?), so much for doing this video!

Hello and thank you for this amazing recipe! I made it for our Sunday supper last night and it was delicious. Many recipes call for the addition of heavy cream, which yours does not; therefore, the full flavour of the chicken and all the veg came through beautifully. The leftovers will be equally delicious. Many thanks again…

Easy enough and looks 😋 tasty! I have found in our stores here in’s Delaware buttermilk is very hard to find. Years ago I never had any problem finding it. Very disappointing so I make as you said with vinegar. I guess there isn’t enough demand in my area 🤨 on the menu very soon. 🙂

I’d like to see a video on drying herbs when the *thyme* comes.
