Have you tried using those values and putting them into the 0 and 5 volt values on the generic, wouldn't those values outputted buy the sensor be adc now? so 0 would be 190 and 90 would be 5v or vise versa. Ill give it a go onec this snow stops and let you know if that would let you be able to use simple values like 0 and 100 not 90 and 190 for the gauge itself.

Did it work?

So I had to drain the tank of some old E85 and decided to pull the pump and sending unit back out to test this (guess I was bored). After playing around with it, I put 190.0 as my 0v value and 90.0 as my 5v value with a lag factor of 10. After that, I tested the sweep values of the gauge as I moved the sending unit from full to empty a few times. At full tank, the value on the gauge showed 188.2 and the empty tank value on the gauge showed 172.4. So I changed the min/max values of the gauge in the properties settings and the gauge works wonderfully now.

Great to see you are still going on the Omni. I let mine sit for almost 9 years. Just spent the last 3 days pulling it out and getting it running again. Was thinking about doing a wrap because the paint is shot but the plasti dip on your looks pretty good. Was it very hard to do?
@That_Red_Omni3 жыл бұрын
I think i saw that post lol. The plastidip isn't a hard process, takes a little practice to get the technique right, but if you have a spare hood or fender, should only take 20 mins to nail down. Whole kit, gun and sprayer included, was around $600. Holds up well but it is a 20ft paint job in regards to texture

@@That_Red_Omni I think the $600 kit might be a little out of the budget for this car. THink I am just going to try some rattle cans and see how it looks.

How do you figure out what resistor you need? My ohm range is 33-270
@That_Red_Omni3 жыл бұрын
Honestly I'm not really sure; I'm going by what was suggested on one of the FB pages. One guy was gonna use a 1k resistor for his 0-90 ohm unit and one of the main MS people said for him to use a 150ohm. So i upped mine to a 200 to be safe since mine is a 20-120 unit

@@That_Red_Omni I'll just have to get a bunch of different ones and try it. I appreciate your video

Hey I just wanted to thank you for this video. I was able to do this today on my car and got it working in tunerstudio. It was very helpful
