I have found that if you turn off notifications you will not get smoke detector notifications. At least on the Wyze v3, its that way.

It cannot yet, but supposedly it's supposed to be coming. I know Wyze hired the developer of Tiny Cam to work on different things, even tho that's a separate deal. However, that same developer has said it was going to be coming. And I know that support for the OG cam line is supposed to make it to some other non Wyze options for recording, etc. TBH, tho, from what I see. The Pan V3 is the best deal. It has the new software features of the OG, but it is a V3. Yet it's better than the V3 overall. For the price right now, I don't know why anyone should buy the OG unless you have some specific need for it, like the telephoto. But having said that, it is only 3x and there were already lens mods and such for other models. The new one can be used outdoors and it has good tracking, low light, quick notifications.

@@a9s2w5 Really nice info!! Is the view angle on the V3 and the Pan V3 the same? I have an OG and noticed it’s a bit narrower than my standard V3.

@@BlaqViper It uses a different sensor even tho they look very comparable. The V3 cannot move so it uses a wider FOV(field of view) of 130. The Pan V3 uses a 120 but... It is motorized so it can move the lens 360° x 180° horizontal/vertical. Which is actually quite unique to be able to move 180 vertical. It's hard to do direct comparisons purely on FOV bc there's so many different manufacturers and depends how they measure it etc. But if we take the specs for what they say, Pan V3 FOV is 120, but it can look anywhere.

It is, its really good for watching packages at the front door or getting a license plate/face of someone in a car in your yard since it is so zoomed in.
