He was arrested in Ithaca back in December 2015 on charges of driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana, and parking on a crosswalk. His BA was .16% at the time of his arrest. Really really sad.

This song is definitely about Noah. He got arrested and I haven't seen him with the band since. I've been there from the beginning and in my stupid interpretation he is calling out to him but not in an obvious way until you get to the neon lights usually associated with bars and Sam being called at night and he couldn't recognize Noah's voice because he was arrested and drunk. I feel this so much and know the results of addiction. In the end that's why I believe he is crying because they grew up best friends and to see him in the pain he is in when he never knew is powerful but assuring him he will always be there for his friend. Again my stupid interpretation but had to post it. Love and peace to all
