I've heard every version of this song that I know exists. You don't have to convey or express what the original artist did. You can use your own feelings and go with it. A cover doesn't only mean that you sing a song in the same way the original artist did, or try to make it your own with a different arrangement, style etc. It can also be, to have a completely different interpretation of what the song is actually about. There are no rules! That being said, I like her spiritual, run filled, version the most, and her voice is amazing!
