I already bought UXM Omni vol 5, so I immediately bought X-Factor Epic Collection Vol 1 after I heard about Prelude to MM omnibus. It fills the gap without double dipping

Happy to hear Power Pack piqued your interest. Loved reading the series back when it was coming out. Go with reading some issues on MCU first and read like the first 6 issues or so, that kind of gets the series going. I want to say up to 40 or so was written by Louise. She did co-create the series with June Brigman. I grabbed X-Factor because i want the series in collected editions, not just events. And eventually all the event omnis will potentially be phased out and replaced with volumed books. Except for maybe the full events - Mutant Massacre, Inferno etc I also should say if you end up enjoying more Power Pack maybe just maybe you can return and give New Warriors another shot.

Event omnis are better for me, I don´t want to be thinking when to go from X-Men to X-Factor to New Mutants to One shots to Mini series to whatever. So I got vol 5 when it was first released, but then replace it with Prelude (for now I have both, I have to sell that vo5, didn´t even open it).

I have miscellaneous x-men books instead of the omnibuses. I used to get "complete collections" and now it is " masterworks" here and there. I basically went to "New Mutants" instead of X-Men and it is fine that way. I can understand the Krakoan era x-men storyline and the New Mutants are easily the best. We'll the X-Factor in Krakoa is way different than this X-Factor. Same with the Marauders. Totally different.
