I was there. I and a friend went from the UK via a J-rock tour group which gathered a few dozen fans from America and elsewhere to see these three shows. Being there in person on those three nights was like existing in a piece of reality had been severed from the world. I have never, before or since, experienced anything like the connection and pure emotional meaning that almost physically existed in that space, not ever. This moment, 60,000 people taking the song and carrying it... an incredible, ineffable, trascendent moment that I will never forget. There was no distinction between band and audience in this moment. The walls seperating 60,000 people from one another, seperating the stage from the crowd ceased to exist. Everyone sang that song to themselves, to each other, and to the band. That piece of time belonged to every person there. I wish I had the words to express it better. There's really nothing like X-Japan.

Today is the 25th anniversary of Hide's death. Looking back at moments like these humbles me. His death was a tragedy for not just Japan but J-rock fans everywhere. 25 years later, his memory lives on in his loved ones. He lives on in X-Japan's history and in us, his fans. No matter how much time passes there will always be people who remember him and mourn him.

So, so sad to witness the raw pain Toshi and the others were experiencing during this live performance. Losing Hide, especially given the unexpected and extremely tragic way that he died, literally broke their hearts. It must have taken so much courage and strength for Toshi to sing this song, knowing he would be unable to control his emotions or his tears. It's so touching how the audience joined in and helped him finish the song. X Japan has the most dedicated, awesome fans !!

Found out that this is they first time perform Forever Love after the last time (Hide funeral 1998) I was more touch and cant stop ma tears from pouring. But good job to Toshi even he in difficult situation to sing this song but he still doing it perfectly. And as Pata and Heath, they will always forever be calm and relax as hell. Haha. Its hard to see them emotional on stage, even at their Last Live 1997. ^_^
