I'm from Singkawang too. And I'm the 6th generation of Hakka Chinese, my later generation already reached 8th(my nephew's son). It's quite rare to find Hakka Chinese in Singkawang that reach up to 4th or 5th generation, mostly at 3rd. So my ancestor came in around late 18th or early 19th century when Indonesia don't exist yet(at the time Indonesia is called Nusantara with hundreds of sultanate, kingdoms, federations, clans, you name it... under Dutch colonial rule. By the way my great great great grandfather came with his wife and little brother to West Borneo, he is a merchant selling sugar made by himself with sugarcane. His name is Chin Nie Tet in Hakka and came from Moyjan or Huophuo in Guangdong province if I'm not mistaken. And me myself named Chin Thit Lun(Chen The Luan). Nice to see your video about my hometown Sanguoyang and hope this pandemic to end soon and foreign tourists came flocking my city again. A city of a thousand temples, or in another name : A city of Amoy(city of Chinese girls), yeah that's what I'm talking about.
I'm from Singapore...I'm also Hakka. Moyan..Hakka .my father left china when he was young n settled 8n Singapore..now then I know there are so many Hakka in Indonesia..thks for the video..take care brother s n sisters..

I went Singkawang with my mum (Hakka) back in the 1993 as she's born and raised there. I would love to visit the city one day with her again. My dad also Hakka from Jiexi as well.
Saya dari Kota Amoy Singkawang, Kalimantan Barat. Hadir nyimak.

Javanese Malays had good relations with Chinese people from the 4th century and perhaps long before that Javanese people were already trading in Chinese ports. even those who spread Islam in Indonesia were Chinese, especially Admiral Zheng He, the oldest mosque in Indonesia was built by Zheng He in the cities of Palembang, Semarang, Surabaya, Kalimantan and Makassar, all of which were very peaceful and prosperous before the Europeans attacked😓😧
