@@Championhelmets i only have two minor issues with it. Too much ventilation (even it all the lids closed), wich in the winter is not so pleasant, and its a little bit noisy also, but nothing serious. Despite of that, great!!!

So i bought one of these for commuting 6 months ago and i'd add a few things to this really good review. 1. The ventilation is not just good, it's ridiculous! But be prepared to block/tape the inside of most of those vents when it gets cold. I'm still finding gaps to seal up. 2. It looks awesome with the carbon (i got the red trim version) and people will tell you! 3. It's really genuinely light and good value. 4. Did i mention the ventilation??

@@Championhelmets I hadn't noticed the carbon in the liner TBH, but it's definitely a comfy feel - much plusher than the shoeis I've been used to. But since my post, I've also discovered it seems to leak through the brow vent in heavy rain! Not sure if anyone else has this issue?

Fair enough with the liner, we also hadn't noticed it too much with the Carbon. Glad to hear you like the liner though! That's definately not good with the vent though!

@@Luca_S_8 with the vents closed i don't find it too bad really. Ive always worn ear plugs but i didn't notice much difference swapping from my xr1100 to this. The NXR i tried was a little quieter but comparatively useless vents. With the top vents open it's definitely a bit noisier but it makes such a difference to the heat build up i think of it as similar to opening the visor (eg. worth it). Could be a different experience on a faired bike though as mines a naked

The main difference between the X-803 and X-803 RS is the spoiler on the back of the helmet. The X-803 RS uses a large removable spoiler for track riding, while the X-803 does not include this addition. For comfort, the X-803 RS Ultra Carbon also includes an improved interior liner. Well to be honest I am suspicious of X lite! they have a couple of my friends and they all complain about strangling them for ventilation! they say her ventilation is terribly bad! And with that, their price is quite strong! I have a Scorpion air R1 and I am very satisfied! I'm just thrilled with her! The X lite seems like a more serious and quality helmet to me and I wish I had another one next to the R1. I would love Shoei the most but unfortunately it doesn’t fit my head shape!

One question you mention there is a spoiler at the back you can adjust to your riding style? I'm not sure what you mean by riding style? I have the same helmet with a senna 50s connected to it and it's a great helmet!

Hi Victor, the answer would mainly depend on what what sort of riding you do on your bike. The X-803 helmet will be solid for naked bikes, especially with its great field of view. However, it won't necessarily be the best option for longer rides or commutes since when we took it out on our road test, it was surprisingly loud. How does the Xlite compare to Pista RR in terms of fitment, vision view (love wide view on Pista) and function? I.e, if I wear small in Pista, would small in Xlite work?

In terms of fitment, the X-Lite and the GP RR are similar in terms of head circumference and helmet size. Though in this case it may be a bit more specific, since for AGV 55-56 cm is a S, whereas a 55 is an XS and a 56 is an S for X-Lite. In terms of view, both should be pretty good and the same goes for function, though the GP RR's visor is slightly easier to replace than for the X-Lite. Which of the two are you leaning towards?

​@@Championhelmets I currently have Pista, ride mostly on the track. If X-lite has the same function, weight and wide view as you're suggesting. Then X-lite is almost half the price, and no brainer. Is it true Pista passed all safety tests, but X-lite has not? Do you recommend the X-lite? I have tried most of the other track helmets and only felt great in Pista.

@@7ayraan While the GP RR and the X-803 haven't been tested by SHARP yet, their predecessors have been, and both the GP RR and the X-803p passed the FIM homologation test. The X-Lite is an excellent helmet at its price and is a top racing helmet, the main differences would be that the GP RR is going to bring a few more premium details that come with the price like (when we road tested it) doing a bit better in terms of the visor and comfort. So in the end, we would recommend it since it offers good racing features at a good price, but it doesn't quite perform on the same level as a Pista GP RR. If you were curious about how the X-lite does on the road, we have tested the X-Lite X-803 RS Ultra Carbon which, though a new model with slightly different features, shares some similarities to the X-803 (you can find it at this link kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3nRlX-DhLN-r6M)

The X-803 Ultra Carbon should be fine on a naked bike. Though it is a sport helmet, and so will have the visor placed accordingly, the X-803 has a very large visor so it shouldn't pose too many problems, not to mention it did well for aerodynamics when we took the X-803 RS on our road test

Champion Helmets I’m in the market for a new helmet. I want a dual purpose helmet, something I can take to the occasional track day and the street. I’m currently looking at the xlite 803/ 803rs, Suomy rs-gp, Bell race star. Most of my riding is street so I would like to be able to mount a Bluetooth headset.

It may depend on the system you currently use, but you may still be able to fit it into the X-Lite. Unfortunately, that has been a let down with the helmet. Have you considered the Shoei NXR or X-Spirit 3?

Champion Helmets I currently have a Senna SMH10 but it’s to bulky. I’m looking at picking up a Cardo Freecom 2. As for the Shoei, have have tried them on but something about it felt off. I really wanted to like the helmet.

When tested out on the road, we found that the Corsair X (Arai RX-7V in Europe) did perform much better than the X-803 RS Ultra Carbon. Particularly in terms of ventilation and features.
