1:30 - I didn't know that. I have the Gan 12 (Maglev) on wishlist to give a try on a sale but I bought a week ago the 356M (on sale) and I like it just how it is (and the black internals are cool and the springs doesn't make noises). Maybe I can pass the Gan 12 and save the money for other cubes.

Just want to quickly mention something: The Gan 356M doesn't have corner-core magnets and doesn't auto align, as well as maglev. The cube I would say it is most similar to it is the original Gan X, as it has the same adjustment system (old GTS nuts) minus adjustable magnets. If you aren't really looking for that feature, then you could go ahead with getting it, as it is a much cheaper and pretty good midrange puzzle, although if you are looking for that feature but don't want to pay that much for it, I would like to quickly bring up 4 other 3x3s (in no particular order of recommendation): 1. Moyu YS3M Ball Core: It is one of Moyu's most stable puzzles and has a similar piece design to that of Gan's 3x3s. It also feels similar to it, but is relatively slower as well. Without UV, it costs around 25 bucks on Amazon. 2. Moyu Weilong v10 Ball Core (either maglev or spring, depending on how fast you want your cube to be): I consider this puzzle to be the closest to that of Gan's flagships (like the 12) but with less of the catching that some people have with their puzzles. It has a similar auto-alignment to that of the 12, but know that it has a very "blocky" feel to it. From some sellers on Amazon, you can get it for less than 36$. 3. Gan 11 M Pro: As this is now Gan's oldest modern-style 3x3, the price has dropped a good amount ever since the original price of over $60 and can now be bought for around the same price as the Moyu Weilong v10 with a ball-core. It may not have the same auto alignment as the 12 or any newer Gan cubes, but it still has the relative stability of one, as well as having a black internal option. If you are specifically looking for a Gan 3x3 but want corner-core magnets, as well as black internals, then this is a really good option. 4. Dayan Guhong Pro M: Despite being less than $20, it has a ball core and a similar feel to that of a Gan 11 M Pro. This is one of cheapest options that you could get that still has a great performance to it.

EDIT: And now Gan 12 it's on sale xD But just 15% off. A bit worse than the 356M (20%). A can wait. I need to learn more about alternatives and I'm pretty happy with the 356M with the looks and the performance.

idk why qiyi dont give any love to spring version of their cubes. Moyu finally gave us feature complete versions of cubes that have springs on them (WRM V10) and we have qiyi just fumbling the release of the tv4 & this cube.

too bad they didn't keep the dual adjustment system...after getting the RS3m v5 and the weilong v10, I really do not like the screw setup. if they had a screw setup that only had so many positions with clicks, that would be different. not a deal breaker, just takes more time to setup. I'm still learning and don't even know what feel I like yet...so it's currently a different situation for me. someone with plenty of experience, not as big of a deal. still think a dual quick system should be standard

i personally like screws, coming off the ys3m, gts3m and the v5. but i also own a gan 12 + 14, used to own a tv3 as well. reason i like screws is that DAS provides very fixed tensions and compressions, while screws dont. screws allow you to go "in between" the fixed settings a DAS would have, allowing for more freedom. many times ive set up a DAS cube and was like "man, 1 number up and its too tight for my preferences, 1 number below its too fast now" whereas screws you can set it up exactly how you want it. i acknowledge that the downside of screws is that perfectly equal settings on all sides is impossible, and DAS alleviates that problem, but i dont think its that big a big deal. if you roughly measure in half/full wrist turns while tensioning, itll be really hard to tell a difference if one side is 2 degrees tighter.
