I believe Magneto is right about human nature but I can't help but admire those willing to fight and die for a noble cause. The X-men and Xavier's dream are like a reminder that we should always strive to be better and not return hate with more hate.

And if we look at human history, this usually only happens when the oppressed side decides to fight back. To make matters worse in the comics, Xavier's dream never came true and he betrayed the X-Men several times, including the new story of the Krakoa era. On the other hand, in some stories, Magneto, by winning, brought prosperity to mutants at the expense of humans, but mutant society had the same problems as humans with wars and conflicts. At the end of the day for me it all comes down to the people I love if I was a mutant who had lost his family in Genosha I probably would have sided with Magneto but if they had survived maybe I would have given another chance for humans and peace. Looking at it from this point of view, I admire Magneto for being able to hold on after so much time and everything that humans took from him.

the more i think about it jean and storm just make more sense, it will have been super hard for everyone when xavier left and jean and storm both feel strongly about his dream. and jean is having issues with scott and needs someone to rely on, along with both being fairly tempered characters compared to rogues abrasiveness. still love storm/rogue but i think this feels like a better match

That doesn't seem to be how telepathy works in this series: telepaths need a fair amount of concentration to read minds, so doing that in the middle of a fight is impossible. That's why telepaths always attack from a safe distance.
