The jubilee Mall scene is also a call back to her first appearance in the first episode from season one. She goes to the mall and meets storm, rouge and gambit while getting chased by a sentinel. Then she meets cyclops just like sunspot met cyclops in the first episode of X-Men 97.

This series is incredible. I loved the Summersfamily moments. With Jean sharing Madelyne’s memories it shows why she has affection for Cable. So cool when Wolverine and Nightcrawler were guarding Ro gue. Again Magneto shows up to dismantle the Prime Sentinels when they were seeming impossible to stop.

I think his firing has to do with a non explicit only fans account that he had. This episode was incredible! That was only Part-1 of 3?!?!? I can't honestly contain my excitement for the next two episodes over the next two weeks! The team-ups, the action, the music, the dialogue, the animation, the Easter Eggs, the cameos, and the respect for the comic book source material and original 90s animated series that inspired it all was absolutely perfect! I'm honestly ready to say that this is my favorite project Marvel/MCU has ever done 10/10 episode! I can't wait for next week!

What an episode. What a season so far. 16:33 Rachel Summers subtle confirmation with the branch and the reference that Bishop didn't raise Cable. Mother Askani did!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! Heinrich Zemo, Madame HYDRA, Doctor Doom. The goat CDB-Peter. The Summers family first team up. Was beyond epic. If anyone can turn sentinels into fodder it's that trio and even they had to resort to pure defense. Next week is gonna be nuts. Edit: I really hope they introduce Rachel in time to put her front and center for the Shi'ar coup just like the comics. Polaris was there too. Both of them in one scene. So the flashbacks are Earth-811 that Bast is trying to recreate in Earth-92131? Or Is Rachel born in Earth-92131 cause only two versions of her exist? And technically they're the same person existing across two different points of the multiverse. Either way can't wait.

There hasn't been this much positive energy around a Marvel product in a hot minute. The subtle appearances and nods to other Marvel properties is what fans want. It helps the world feel real. Captain America, Spider-Man have to deal with the repercussions of what is happening to the X-Men we just don't see their side of the story and we don't have to. Just knowing that the whole Marvel universe is experiencing the same shared events is enough.

The emotional peak of the episode for me was when Dr. Cooper talked about how after the Genosha massacre, there was a lot of emotions flurring around, but that what there wasn't was a lack of surprise amongst the mutants; that they expected something like this in the back of their heads. Pretty deep and powerful there.

We haven't seen the last of Gambit. It's most likely that he will become Apocalypse's lead horseman, Death and then eventually be saved from that fate by some other means.

I feel like with the success of this show, I feel like it’s guaranteed that a Spider-Man show is in the works. I was born in 99 but all I did was watch re runs when I was a kid. SPIDER-MAN HYPE.

I love the way these episodes integrated the x men into the marvel universe. Anyone catch the Easter egg where Beast said the word strange before talking about the absolute point in time... something that Dr Strange also struggled with in the what if animated series

The Silver Samurai cameo was interesting though. I think it's supposed to show that Bastion's machinations (pun intended) were limited to the US at the moment, given the Silver Samurai is also a mutant.

Man XMen 97 just gets better and better every episode! I had to rewatch this episode again and let’s get amen for Spider Man amongst other cameos! I hope it doesn’t lose its luster with the firing of writer Beau Mayo. Show is phenomenal!!!!!

I'm glad that X-Men 97 will put all doubters to rest that implied Marvel can't compete with DC in animation story telling. This show is pure gold. Once they reveal more villains Bastion is working with and we finally see Apocalypse. It's Go time!

This episode was soo good. This is the first time I'm giving an episode of the show 5/5. Episode 5 was a 4.5 and I thought that was the peak for the show until now. The pacing felt good. This being a 3 parter helps I think. The best thing of this episode.. Wolverine FINALLY got something to do. He has been completely wasted this entire season until now. I'm also VERY happy that they gave him the fight scene with Nightcrawler and not Morph. I've always loved Wolverine and Nightcrawler friendship. I'm shocked that Charlie skipped over the fact that Wolverine FINALLY got something to do in the show! And it was such a bad ass fight both before and after Nightcrawler joined in. I hope this isn't the only Wolverine basassery we see though. I want more!! Magento was right.. Loved it!! That phrase came out well before the whole "Thanos was right", in fact I think "Magneto was right" was first.. then even "Cyclops was right" and then after that "Thanos was right". Spiderman showing up was cool.. I was sort of hoping we would have seen more heroes just reacting, but I'll take it. Oh, Dr. Doom, Zemo, Silver Samurai and Omega Red!! Other "cameos".. not sure but was Bastion also talking to Killmonger and Madame Hydra? (I thought maybe Tyger Tiger? but Madame Hydra makes more sense) Interesting scene with heads of state. I was looking for Namor as well, but couldn't find him. And the end.. "To me my X-Men!" YES!!! I am so excited for Episodes 9 and 10!! But Charlie, Xavier actually said it first in X-Men 1 WAY back in the day. Technically it was part of a sentence, "And now, return to me, my X-men!" but New X-Men isn't the first time those words were said. ;)
