TV-PG, which is a Y7 equivalent. Wolverine can't say oh shit for example, he has to say oh crap. They did this purely for it to feel authentic rather than any obligation though since the storytelling is overall more mature.

@@Alex_Logan22 they both said it but that does NOT count as a 4th wall breach... but interestingly there is a comic frame of Franklin Richards saying "come to me my Galactus" Insiders say little kid Franklin and his sister will be a big part of the F4 film, which might indicate some other settings (Negative Zone) for the film (missing time between 1960s and "present day"?) Fun stuff!

They seem to know their audience: We have grown up and the writing reflects it, the characters' words have more weight to them. It feels more mature. Choices of words like "tolerance" and "normal folk" hit so hard. The themes are as relevant as they were back then. I loved it and hope the rest of the season will maintain this level of quality.

For me, Episode 1 was a 9/10. Great start to the series. Fantastic development for Cyclops and Jubilee. Also some fantastic action scenes, with Storm getting such an incredible moment. Episode 2 was a 10/10 HANDS DOWN! One of the best episodes I've ever seen of X-Men. The episode took some VERY heavy risks and it did not hold back. Magneto in particular is SO FREAKING GOOD in this. And that ending was incredibly heartbreaking.

No, of course not. Different medium, different expectations, different experience. Even the stories would not necessarily be the same. Many people would readily grasp the apples and oranges nature of such a comparison. Both the original X-Men animated series from the 1990’s and the X-Men movies from the 2000’s have a strong fandom and there is overlap between the two, so it’s not like it’s difficult to like different adaptations of a property on their own merits. Also, consider the implications of the question. Is it preferable for a preceding work to set a high standard to which the subsequent work aspires? Or for it to be mediocre just so that the latter doesn’t have to strive for excellence?

So far as voices... Storm was absolutely dope. Cyclops' new voice actor totally nailed it. Wolverine's voice in the preview felt off, but it totally came together during the actual episodes. Gambit sounds a little different, but it was still good. Jubes is fine, Bishop definitely sounds different, but it's fine. Morph is fine. Rogue definitely sounds older trying yo do younger. I hope they do some voice correction for her in the future like they did with Luke in the recent Star Wars content. Now Mags sounds very different, and I didn't like it in the previews. But this man walked in and commanded every scene and now I think it's fire and I'm on the Magneto Hype Train.

Last week i looked up why Cyclops doesn't break his neck when he fires his concussion beams. Apparently the beams come from another dimension so his eyes are pretty much just a window to that dimension so there is no recoil. Then they show Cyclops using the recoil from his beams to move his body. But other than thatI loved the first two episodes and especially Cyclops finally gets his due. He was awesome 😎

Marvel Studios may be going through its problems with their movies but so far with their animated shows especially bringing back this one they are knocking it out of the park so far watching the two episodes gave me such nostalgic and great memories and they continue the way how the X-Men series was about racism politics and it just brought so many great memories I enjoy the show and look forward to episode 3 I hope they can keep this great momentum going that it can lead to a season 2 for this show so far

Unfortunately right now I’m unable to watch X-men 97 right now. Right now I’m currently watching the original X-men animated series and I won’t be able to finish that series until the end of this month. The earliest that I will even be able to get around to watching X-Men 97 is early April because I have to finish the original X-men animated series before I can even watch the new X-men animated series on Disney Plus and right now I’m on season 4 of that series.
