I'd go even further back, this is the most well received, presented and put together thing since maybe Winter Soldier, which I still say holds up as a great standalone flick. This show is everything the live action shows aren't (not to say they're bad, but they pale to me comparatively) its dripping with comic goodness, I love it.

Jim Lee had *_LONG_* departed the title before this story started, correct? I’m sure his comics aren’t *_too_* bad, but I’ll never forgive him and Bob “the alleged harasser” Harras for being a bunch of home wreckers and pushing out Claremont in the early 90’s.

I never really got the X-Men before. I decided to watch the original X-Men series before 97, and I'm so glad I did because of all the moments of context I better understand, but the show was mostly just okay to good with only a couple episodes of greatness (and they're all with Nightcrawler). But 97 makes me get it. It is the best. The characters, the action, the stories, it is all phenomenal.

Oh I would love it if Christopher Daniel Barney’s came back in this show, even if it’s just to chat with Beast and Wolverine. Man I agree, Josh Keaton has such range, I can always recognise him in his early work, but he turns up in random things and I’m always blown away as I just can’t hear him in his acting, he’s so good and changing his voice to who he’s playing. I went back to listen to Cap again and I still can’t hear it, same with his Electro in the PS4 game.

I do think Wolverine has been underused in this show, but I’m glad everyone else is getting spotlight. I feel it’s just the pendulum effect of the fact he’s had so much screen time that now he’s getting very little. Ironically though, this is the version I wanna see more of, not Hugh Jackman.

1) Jean can also change her clothes the same way Storm can. I would argue it makes more sense because Jean’s telekinesis is manipulating matter. Storm’s doing it makes less sense to me, but it was apparently a thing in the comics as well. 2) Catherine Discher was the original Jean in the og series. She now plays Valerie Cooper in the current show. She sounds nowhere similar to how she used to. And I don’t think it’s Catherine putting on a character voice. I think it’s simply just age, which is why she is not playing Jean. 3) Jennifer Hale is a legend in general, but I especially love her as Jean. Marvel vs Capcom 3, Wolverine and the X-Men, Marvel Anime: X-Men, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 were all different takes of the same character done by Hale. I could literally do an entire essay for how much material Hale does in the different takes with Jean.

We cannot be asking to bring back Beau without knowing what he did, I know he is talented but the geek culture has this bad habit of praising people as Gods but as soon they do something bad they are devils, look at Whedon, Beau even deactivated his social media for a while and he has bad fame from The Witcher writer room as well, so he does not seem innocent, it would be good to have him involved but we cannot force them unless it was a stupid thing why he got fired.

@@creed8712 It was a big deal, yes, but it was also genuinely a good movie that wasn't a pure fan-service-fueled cash grab, as many feared it would be. The movie would have done big regardless, so I really appreciate the real character moments and narrative decisions made in service of Tom's Peter Parker. Therefore, it is a good benchmark. It didn't just make a lot of money; it was a phenomenon; it was the last MCU film that managed to carry within it something comparable to that peak Endgame-era flare.
