I have always loved Sentinels since watching the 90's animated series. I was in awe with the unique frames of animation on the Sentinel character in this game. All that detail in its moves and attacks. 😮😮

Sentinel has moves here that didn't carrry over to MVC2 and UMVC3 like that propeller thing, body slam and the bubble.

I think they had to limit the moveset due to memory limitations. MVC2 included almost every character from all of the previous crossover games (plus lots of new ones), so some cuts had to be made to fit it all on one disk.

Man this game was so much fun. These new fighters don’t seem fun at all. I still ove the soundtrack to this day! Has waaaay more personification of the character. Magnetos stage music gives me goosebumps to this day!! Sheer godlike power.

Kinda wished they kept Sentinel's Slicer light kick..since it's multi-hit it can prevent him from doing infinite or if still can be done, it becomes a timing based combo to balance it.

It's impossible unfortunately, and even if outsourced it wouldn't be a good idea business wise. Because these games would have to be constantly milked and recycled to be viable. Like, Capcom milked the same Marvel sprites from 94 to 00. But nowadays there's less tolerance about sequels that mostly reuse assets (90% of late 90s and 00s 2d fgs). And there's a point of 2d when it becomes too expensive to keep improving. Capcom witnessed that fact at SF3 and SNK at KOF 13. Those two games tragically ended early and having to throw away incredible works of sprite art and animation.

Man akuma fight here almost reminded me of fighting cyber akuma.... Anyway retro fighters you don't think about playing warzard/red earth too?? Game had gorgeous 2D and is technically a fighter too....there was other I played on the emulator long time ago " metamoqester" or something....its like warzard but you play with only asian combatant's
