I think this is the best looking art on a Arcade1up yet, I just wish it had the game list from the MvC cabinet. I like those games better.

That's totally the struggle Neil. I wish the difference between the two cabinets was purely art and the games list encompassed every game on both cabinets. It certainly would have made my purchase decision easier. I still get MVC and X-Men vs. Street Fighter Here....the only game I'm missing is MSH vs SF

@@MichaelBtheGameGenie Missing Marvel Super Heroes too. I really liked Marvel Super Heroes and MSH vs SF. Both of those on their own are better than XMEN COA in my opinion and getting both makes it even better. I saw this cabinet at Best Buy and was really close to buying it. I don't want to take a lot of space so I really want to limit the cabinets I buy and sometimes the game list is frustrating to me for that reason. I would be okay with 2-4 machines but more than that isn't something I want to get into. I'm getting one of the pinball machines and I'll most likely grab the new Street Fighter cabinet. For the most part I don't care about the cabinets as I can play most of the games at home on console/pc with arcade sticks already. But this cabinet almost got me, the artwork is just too good. Which is why I know I can't pass up the new SF one.

I think it looks great! I suck at fighting games and I don’t care. Lol. They’re fun especially with friends. People look at me like “you collect these old games! Why am I wiping the floor with you?” Like collecting makes me an expert gamer or something. Thanks as always for the video!

i played xsf to death in 1997 across the street from kingsborough college after class often at the pizza joint. this game always reminds me of pizza sauce (warmed up), and gummy sticky floors, as well as amazing action. i also played this sucker for hours and hours on end on the sega saturn. such a FUN game!!

Had X-Men vs Street Fighter on PS1 as a kid, traded a buddy for it for GTA 2.. although I loved GTA 2, still regretting it 21 years later 😂🤦🏾‍♂️

Awesome review, Mike! This cabinet looks great, I'm a huge fan of the Capcom Vs games and if I actually the space for it, I could easily see picking one of these up. The inclusion of Mutant Apocalypse is kind of odd though, I love that game but yeah, I've never felt the need to play it on an arcade cabinet.

My pre-order of Marvel vs Capcom from Best buy Canada finally arrived! Such an awesome cabinet, sucks that it was delayed for so long here in Canada. So glad I held out and waited instead of getting X-Men vs. Street Fighter as it has the games I really wanted.

good review, I've had mine since the end of december but sadly haven't been able to put it together because all the screws, power cords were missing out of the box, luckily arcade1up is sending me the missing parts, should be here next week. in the mean time I've upgraded the buttons to sanwa, a must for fighting games because the button presses are faster due to less travel time during presses. The buttons are a bit bigger so you have to shave around the button holes, you can easily due this with a nail filer and some patience:P

So i picked up this cabinet yesterday at a walmart...everything is AWESOME except none of the games save high scores....even after the wifi update they still dont....like WTF!!!???

Try going back to the menu after getting the high score, instead of turning the machine off. That was the fix for the gen 1 centipede machine and still works!

IMO this is their best looking cab to date. I thought of picking this up just for the looks but now that KI is announced i will hold off. I dont have the space for alot of cabs. Awesome review and i love Xmen vs street fighter the best out of the lineup....yes thats right. I like the tag team straight fighter aspect of it.

Love the bat joystick. Absolutely hate the ball joysticks. Great review! Had no idea about the online play! Does it take long to find opponents? Very tempted to get this. XvSF is my game! So many goohsi memories! I remember lacking up 25+ wins on a few occasions... They just couldn't take me off this machine!! :) Wolverine + Cyclops FTW!!!

Does Marvel vs Capcom arcade have online co-op? On the Dreamcast there was a mode called Cross Fever that allowed 2v2 so I'm wondering if that is available on this cabinet so my brother and I could team up against other players.

I would love to have this cab in my house, HOWEVER, with me just starting my collection about a month ago, I’m already hearing rumors of MvC2 being released Oct/Nov of this year and I would LOVE to pre-order that one and not double up on the MvC cabs. MvC2 is one of my all time favorite fighters and I have to have it. Good review on this cab.

I got the MvC cabinet which is now out of print in the USA. It is my grail cabinet and the first one I purchased. I will say I do like the bezel art on the Xmen SF arcade, and I may end up with both cabs because I am a super fan. I think the art on both cabs is fantastic. I do like the riser on my MVC but you are kind of right on the Xmen SF riser. It was hard for them to have a color of Tmolding or trim since the side art was red. The online play is good, but it needs work there is lots of glitches still where all of the sudden I pick up like 50 wins on an opponent and stuff like that. Also my current pcb... on marvel super hereos gets all blocky during super moves from Juggernaut and Wolverine and I have sent that to Arcade1up and hope they address. I wish there was a casual play option online and a tournament option, but I am just honestly super thrilled to have this and have online!

Great review Michael! I love this and the MvC cab. I ended passing on it because I already bought the Marvel Superheroes limited edition cab. Although I like these game selections better, I feel my favorite arcade of all time MvC2 is coming at some point and I didnt want to buy the same type of cab three times. It was a hard choice but Im just trying to be patient. Im getting XMen and Killer Instinct though. SF2 legacy Im still on the fence because online play but will probably get it. Dude that Tempest cab looks so good. Might have to try and make space for it.

One of my favorite games and I'm tempted, but as I see in the video, the slight rocking of the cabinet is still and issue like on my old Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat cabinets. I wish they could find a way to make them more stable.

The art to this version is SOOOOOO much better than the MVC one. Still, I wanted to get the MVC one as it has MSHvsSF which is my second favorite (next to XMvsSF) yet the XMvsSF is the only one I've found in Mexico :-/

Its a darn pity I lack the space and stability to own one of those bad boys, sadly I have to settle with my PC and a fighting stick to emulate the experience, if I could, I would most definitely buy the arcade you reviewed, it looks so beautiful!, sadly they added that console game instead of only the arcade games, that thing would be near perfect if they had added all the heavy hitters of the franchise plus their x men relatives, the prefect line up for me is: MSH, MSH vs SF, MVSC, MVSC2, X-men Vs. SF and X-me COTA,. also the upcoming killer instinct is an insta must buy!, if I ever have the possibility this one and KI are first in my list.

Would you believe I pre-ordered this back on August 13 and I never received it. When I check my purchase history on their website it states “Delayed-check back later for status update”. I don’t know if I should just cancel my pre order or wait it out. What do you recommend?

i dont know if its related or not, but a few months ago, Arcade1Up lost a large stock of machines and parts when a cargo ship carrying shipping containers crashed or sank (forget offhand).

We want to make sure to address this with you because it affects some of our product deliveries. This vessel lost an estimated 1,816 containers. Thankfully no one was injured and it has now docked in Japan. Though we are happy no one was harmed in this catastrophe - unfortunately, some of our upcoming deliveries were on this shipment. This may result in some delays for our customers. We are working hard developing alternate plans and replacing the product currently unaccounted for from this vessel. We know this is not great news for our customers and fans but acts of nature can happen and affect our deliveries. We want you to know that we are doing everything we can in this situation. They still link to Walmart from their official site, so maybe if it's not a result of the cargo accident, then the pandemic has slowed things down.
