the old books were meant to give you a months worth of story in one issue so they definately feel like a mission to read a whole hardcover in one sitting .. you really got youre moneys worth back then

One of the better X-Men crossovers and one of my personal favorites hardcovers. You hit the nail by saying the similarities between the story and the animated series, that’s probably why I enjoy this book so much. Story seems to hold up over time too.

Great review. Your reviews of X-Men are always so detailed, and it has really gotten me into them since I became a Geminite and a subscriber, which I do not regret at all. In fact I hope you do eventually get to do this as a full time gig with statue and comic reviews, Con coverage, etc...Your energy and enthusiasm is contagious. I always walk away after watching one of your videos in a better mood than I might have been in prior. Thanks for that too. You and Phie rock!

Love these 90s xmen storylines ...the reavers, hellfire club, days of future past present, xcutioners song and when Jean grey died very nostalgic!!!

Great review, keep reading ahead! Also, forgot to mention: after X-Men: The Wedding of Cyclops & Phoenix Omnibus comes X-Men: Phalanx Covenant OHC (released in 2014)

Also, this is the beginning of a very common trope of Jim Lee during his X-Men run: having the team be captured over, over and over. I remember that during adjectiveless X-Men, the team was captured and/or brainwashed to fight one another THREE times (1-3, 4-7, 10-11)!!! Not only it became tiresome, but it depicted the X-Men as very incompetent

90s X-Men, love or leave it. Since you grew up with it, the nostalgia is there. Jim Lee art was phenomenal. Very wordy. Impossible to collect the story during that time because it crossed over to so many comics=expensive= 90s crash. Good to see as a collection.

I still own my copy of the extinction agenda with cable Archangel and Wolverine on a cover by Silvestri! So glad you're able to enjoy it! By the way, didn't you think it was oddly creepy that Hodge needed a standee for the bottom part of his body while looking deranged and drooling during his TV interviews?

I do agree with this review the same way I agreed with Xmen Vol. 1 review. It was good, but I agree that Claremonts writing style makes things drag. It has been argued that it really gives individual issues their own little thing and in some ways I can agree.

Men it’s been a race against time trying to get all these books 😞😞 I tried getting the war of kings Omni along with this one first this one was taken and then the war of king went up to 224 dollars :(

Great review. Agreed, it's impossible to read this book in one or two sittings. Dense stuff and you'll only want to read 2-4 issues at any one time. The only bad thing about X-Tinction Agenda (besides the excessively verbose writing style and all the deus-ex machina plot elements) is the artwork not drawn by Lee or Liefeld. The other artists are just not good.

When these issues originally came out they were in sealed plastic bags with a trading card inside. I'm curious if they show those in the Omni. Its a glaring omission if they don't.

I am curious - does this book has Jim Lee issues from Chris Claremont & Jim Lee Omnibus Vol.1? Because I heard mixed reviews about Vol.1 and my interest in it is solely based on Jim Lee’s art.

Not to jump off the subject but you should do a review on the book where kraven "kills" spiderman and takes his identity forgot the title but bad ass story for sure!

Even the the art was inconsistent you’ll have. Amazing art in the X-men books, New mutant books and even worse the X-factor books art was terrible. That said love the storyline and this is some of Jim Lee best X-men art!

Yo what’s up Gem. I know your doing an X-Men read through which is dope I’m looking forward to more reviews. I remember when you picked out your top 10 most wanted to read books and asked your viewers to pick which ones you should check out. Will you be tackling some of those after X-Men? Curious on your take on some of those books my dude

Hey, I loved the Jim Lee run but the whole Genosha is this bad azz nation filled with these soldiers that can go toe-to-toe with the X-Men was always a stretch. I'm a fan, no doubt but it made the X-Men look like third string heroes and that never set well with me. First things first, Magneto would never allow any nation like Genosha to exist in the first dayum place. That shyt would not happen. And don't get me started on Cameron Hodge. Whoever came up with that lame azz character needs to have their fingers smashed with a large millstone.
