Yes exactly. Renle mentioned that the lyrics is wrote by Renjun and Chenle improvised it later. For the melody they did it together. I wish SM will give Renjun more opportunities to write in the future. He worked so hard, Jaemin said that too. His radio coworkers said the same thing. Always got push to the side, less screen time, and they shine mostly because Dream songs acquire lots of vocals. But I'm grateful for that. At least much of the line would be fairer. I just hope SM give them to do some cover, explore or showcase their talent more aside from being a youtuber. These are great talent and SM need to stop holding them back.

This kind of music is what I always think that both (renjun and chenle) like, especially chenle. Seeing him singing songs in this kinda of genre since kid is kinda simple yet soft and warm. I'm not saying the song is simple as in there;s no dynamic. it has the dynamic but more "homey", and kinda a healing song. I'm so happy that they can compose the song with so much thoughts. their vocals also deliver so sweetly. If NCT could release music like this, let both of them carry the song pls. I always thought Chenle had the heart of a ballad singer so when he composed music (never had him pegged for a lyricist, but definitely a composer) his music would be warm and gentle like this. chenle's life is actually really interesting. hes probably accomplished more than most people that are twice his age or older. he became a child prodigy at 9, but started getting professional training at like 5. he kept his solo career going until he was 14, and started acting when he was 10 then he went to korea at 15 and technically was a trainee. he signed an artist contract straight away. and now hes part of nct hes won at least a dozen awards from when he was a soloist and dozens of awards with nct

Guys let’s not forget the fact that Renjun got into SM by dancing and can sing that good. Chenle got in by his amazing vocals and can dance and rap and this song shows that not only can they dance, sing, and rap they can also compose music. Not me crying rn cause they have come so far,, on Chenle's birthday he said "your own personal life and world is more important than me, I am just...im just...im just a person that is passing by in your life and you cant do well in your studies because you are watching me." It really hit different because one day, we'll grow out of this phase--and each of them/us are gonna go in our own separate ways. I really cant believe how much all of them have matured. In Chenle's recent radio show he expressed how he wanted to start a family and have children. That alone made me so happy and sad at the same time. Their youth has passed and next year--NCT's youngest member, Jisung, will now turn into an adult. It was so fun watching all of them grow. May all of them become successful!

reading is key, guys. when sm released their statement that nct dream would become a rotational unit, they also said that the members of nct dream would be put into another more fixed unit. therefore, sm is either going to put them into pre-existing units (although they would be split up; renjun and chenle would go to wayv due to them being chinese & the other members would go to 127) or make a new unit (which has already been speculated) and put the members in the new unit.

i think that its probably because renjun did most of the actual composing and lyric writing, but you are totally correct. contrary to many opinions, I think that renjun has already established himself as a vocalist in nct. chenle on the other hand, is still seen as the cute/annoying rich dolphin. its annoying beyond belief. but during 2020, he has definitely improved a lot. he was probably going through some changes in his voice but now that its changed and he has found a new motivation in singing, sm and fans have no other choice but to appreciate and promote him and his abilities more.

Black And white prolly bc the notes in this song mostly use their mid register. renjun uses his higher register on most of dreams songs while chenle on the lower (than renjun) but in this song chenle uses his mid register. thats why when renjun uses his falset in this song as adlibs, it would be easier to point out his voice

My interpretation of the song: They sacrificed their youth for their dream to be accomplished and that youth will never come back. And since their home country is not Korea, one day they both have to depart from their members to further accomplish their dreams as they have to achieve further goals to make up for the youth they have sacrificed. So they say that even if they are apart their hearts are still connected. It also shows how they didn't have a normal childhood as ours and how they sacrificed it for their dreams. Renjun voice is actually lighter and have more airy and sentimental feel to it. While chenle have lower tone, more solid and have pure sound. Try use this to differentiate them. They sound totally different but when combined both of them sound like angel. :D

I was there when SM debuted NCT. I became a fan since 7th sense. Then,Dreamies debut. Ang all I can say, is that I love Dream more than the other units. All songs are legendary. They showed different concepts and genre and you can see how their vocals changed and improved. Plus their choreos are superb! And of course visuals everyone! Visuals!
