[新還珠格格插曲] Love at First Sight 一見鍾情 (Karaoke + Translation + pinyin)

Finished writing the English Lyrics Remake last night, added Chinese words, pinyin, and Vietnamese and English translation. This is the most I've done for any song, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to do another one like this.
Video is pretty simple, using pictures of Yong Qi & Xiao Yan Zi (since the song is supposed to relate to them)
Again, the Remake is not 100% corresponding to the translation as you can see when comparing and contrasting to the translation.

Li Sheng sang it beautifully! Love it! This song is about love at first sight, but why it is so sad? l feel like alone and sad when l hear it. Love the beautiful music as well. l think the song really portrays the love stories of all couples here. "Since the first time we met, you are destined to be my love. I can't be separated from you as losing you means my world has no meaning" OMG.....

I'm currently rewatching this drama due to recent lockdown. I thank Qiong Yao for making this song as XYZ-YQ theme song, bcos in original series we only have XYZ theme song, HX-MD theme song and ZW-EK theme song. For those who complained about too many XYZ-YQ scenes in the remake, pls reconsider. In the original series, XYZ was more like a sub character bcos all the story focused on ZW (being bullied, sick, lost, accused, against 3 love rivals, etc) everything was circling around ZW. Even XYZ's past was too short. It wasn't enough. The original 3rd series was absurd bcos QY didn't write it. This time QY reconstructed the story to focus on XYZ. So we got a complete background story and development in her relationship with YQ. It was realistic. As a XYZ fan, I'm pleased bcos she finally claimed her spot.

It is very difficult so thumbs up for your hard work. Note to others: Don't use this video to improve/learn Mandarin Chinese since it is not a direct translation. You will confuse a lot of native speakers like that...

The phrase "If I lose you, everything is useless/unnecessary". The word "YU" means surplus so a better translation is like this: If I lose you, everything will be superfluous.

@mkimduong : For the Vietnamese translation, my father usually translate them into Han-Viet for concise meaning, only certain words and phrases he would then use "tieng nom" Yes, literal translation for all of Qiong Yao's songs will never work since it's more of understanding the hidden message behind the words... Oh, remember, the English Remake in the middle is just use to sing along so the lines are rewritten, real translation is at the bottom. =)

I like the karaoke effects and the english translations, but if only it had ZW and EK pictures instead... This song is usually played during ZW and EK scenes and I feel the lyrics match them more =]

@ellenlee1990 : According to the Season 3 spoilers, there is no mention of war. QY took that whole part out and I think added the back story of XYZ's family instead.

@icykeiko0692 I know! HZGG is supposed to focus on the two couples, ZW/EK and XYZ/YQ or at the very least the two main female leads ZW and XYZ. At the beginning, it was pretty even split b/w ZW and XYZ (even tho XYZ and YQ were quite slow, which I believe it's due to Benji's character), but around the middle of season 2, it totally became the drama for XYZ/YQ/Benji while ZW/EK became supporting characters =[ (i.e. cutting out many of their scenes, significantly less screen time)

@icykeiko0692 I absolutely understand, to me, he was pretty pointless in the entire show lol I guess he was YQ's love rival in season 1 when he wasn't with XYZ yet, but he should have left the gang around the time when Er Tai had to leave, if not, even earlier =P Benji should have been a supporting character imo, but he had way too much screen time =S
