I live in the US. A while ago I read a news about Singapore’s shift of new leadership. It mentioned about the new PM Mr. Wong but sounded not so positive tone about his ability to replace the former PM just because he hasn’t been exposed much. Now in this interview he totally revealed his capability to continue to lead the country to do well.

Singaporeans have long recognized Lawrence Wong's capabilities, having known him as a Member of Parliament since 2011. Western media often have a narrow perspective; just because outlets like CNN and Fox News haven't extensively covered him doesn't mean he lacks competence. Wong was a prominent figure on TV, frequently appearing as one of the three Cabinet ministers chairing the multi-ministry task force managing Singapore's COVID-19 response, alongside Health Minister Ong Ye Kung and Trade and Industry Minister Gan Kim Yong. His leadership included formulating the Government's long-term strategy for when COVID-19 becomes endemic and overseeing the vaccine strategy. Additionally, Wong announced a $1.1 billion support package to help businesses and workers during the heightened alert phase. For those in the West interested in Singapore's political developments, I recommend tuning into CNA or CNBC Asia for comprehensive coverage.

Great performance and intelligent answers were given by the DPM. Singapore is in good Hands with the DPM in charge. On the other hand, Fareed is so biased that all his questions to the DPM on China were leading questions attempting to put the words in DPM‘s mouth. Not something an objective journalist should do. Very disappointing!

A lot of tricky and sensitive questions have been raise by facilitator.He is a worthy PM successor Singapore would progress under his leadership. After hearing this speech, I can tell Mr. 黄 is a very competent state leader. On the other hand, the CNN host who is an Indian decent, showed how dishonest and propagandist he is. At 29:50, he is trying to bait the prime minister to criticize Chinese leadership for its industrial policy of self reliance as evidence of moving away from the market economy. The ministers didn’t take the bait at all, and his answers were very fact based instead of political rhetoric. The CNN guy knows well why China has to go on their self reliance journey such as making their own advanced computer chips because us blocks the sales of such chips. At the end of day, this Indian fellow is like every Indian fellow who just doesn’t want see China to be prosperous.

札卡里雅算是美國很不錯的記者（或主持人）了，但終歸是盎格魯薩克遜的媒體原來小時候不讀書，長大當記者不只是出現在台灣，台灣的媒體弱智化，原來是全球化的結果我看過幾部西方媒體專訪李光耀、吳作棟、李顯龍、尚達曼等新加坡政府的領導階層，真的就是「睿智」與「弱智」的強烈對比，看新加坡的領導人在回應這些西方媒體的尖銳問題時，除了可以在領導人發言中看到他們的敏銳思維、敘事邏輯與條理，還可以看到他們對於應對國際局勢的智慧與態度，還有修養（哈哈哈）新加坡早就看穿這一局是「開放中國」終將贏得對「閉關自守的美西方」各領域競爭，歷史就是這麼反諷，中國百年屈辱的起始點就是在於其自身的「自大、無知與閉關自守」，中國真的是從近代歷史學了很多教訓，但歷史會一直寫下去的原因，就是因為總會有人（國家）不斷地犯同樣的錯誤，美國就像政府的失能，絕大多數的人還無法認知，但何其有幸，我們這一代看得到霸權興衰的過程。

很有水平的总理。新加坡确实厉害，看过这么多的新加坡的政府官员或者有过政府履历的人士，水平都很高。经济学人的采访者，代表了美欧政客的心态，从来不反省自己的问题，一直将问题归因于于中国大陆，并在提问时预设了立场和观点，好在黄都技术性的予以回避这些陷阱并作出了很好的回答。从黄的回答中，如果认真的倾听，隐含了许多问题实际是美国为首的这些西方发达国家的责任。只不过基于国家立场和个人素养，没有明说罢了。
