四五十年前，菲律賓是排在日本之後的亞洲第二大經濟體。碧瑤是新加坡新婚夫婦的度蜜月熱點。但是過去幾十年，菲律賓的經濟和治安每況愈下。尤其是在一些離島潛水地點，不時有叛軍駕船綁架遊客的新聞發生。這都嚴重地打擊了菲律賓的旅遊業。

LOL. Malaysian Chinese are actually more insular than PRC. They only want to go to HK, Taiwan and China. Actually, SG tourists go to Malaysia mainly because it is cheap. I personally think there is nothing much to see. Jungles and caves - I can see them anywhere.

But that is true to some extent, western boses give them alot of freedom and autonomy in handling the household. They can do whatever they want as long as they finished their tasks. In my neighbourhood, the helpers jog in the evenings, go to gym or meet up with friends in the park. But the typical Chinese family would make sure their helpers work till 11pm, be ready to get up at 3am if the child cries, and no freedom to be alone,@@jeemgold7783

Nearby ones, Malaysia, Thailand, Bali. Next got Hong-Kong, Taiwan. Further up, South Korea, Japan. Visit Philippines only for work or business.

五年前去菲律宾旅游一个月，印象深刻。这个国家的警察跟黑涩会没有什么区别，除了会刁难罚款收黑钱，其他一律不管，被抢被偷算你倒霉。在马尼拉，坐的士被强行收费，说好100比索，到站后变300，不打表。街道脏，交通堵，景色虽美，但不建议去。

前年到过宿务岛，一般老百姓都纯朴、善良。

五月份从沃洲去菲律宾自由游玩了三周。去了长沙滩，薄荷岛，宿务，马尼拉，Palawan,珍妮岛，克隆岛等等。在Moalboal 浮潜看到了海龟，沙丁鱼暴，Oslob 与鲸鲨同游，深潜10几米令人终身难忘。治安良好，保安多数持枪，警察昼夜巡逻。菲人普遍讲流利的英文，对游人十分友好。白天十分安全，夜里尽量减少外出。值得一提的是，近几年由于前总统对犯罪的有效打击，治安有明显改善。没去过的，望不要人云亦云，更别让人误导，带到坑里。

How can you call everyone in a country are thugs. How do you explain that China is one of safest country for tourists and Philippine is not. To me with current Philippine's economy(32nd in the world and China is 2nd), Philippine is long way catching up in education and governance. People need to more educated and more aware who are foes and who are friends.

Singaporean here. Have travellled to the remote islands of the Philippines, where there is still not much internet, islands that need sailing for more than a day to get to. Absolutely one of the most beautiful place on earth, and safe. Most Chinese mindsets think of Philippines as only Manila. But it is true, Filipino despise chinese faces, no matter how hard we explained we aren't PRC.

问题是你的前提就是虚假的😂。新加坡是菲律宾的前10的游客来源地。尽管新加坡只有500万人，但新加坡却是所有东南亚国家中每年到菲律宾游客数量最多的。每年去菲律宾旅游的新加坡人比马来西亚和印尼都要多，尽管马来西亚和印尼的人口都是新加坡的很多倍。

@@SimonPoon-w5k 這只是你個人盲點事實，菲律賓危險應該只是在危險區域，在觀光區還是相對安全，所以就應該用精準的說法，菲律賓是適合旅行社跟團，不適合個人自助旅遊。我去過菲律賓遊玩，是跟團去的。我認為菲律賓很好玩，美景相當多。雖然導遊隨時叮囑晚上不要亂跑，治安不好，但你只要遵照導遊的指示，還是很安全的。

Food - Singaporeans are not familiar with Filipino food. Flights - very expensive. Airfares to HK ,Thailand and even Taipei are cheaper.

Which is strange, so many Singaporeans are literally brought up by Filipino helpers, yet we aren't open to their cuisine. They have very very good food , just too salty. Pinoy food is so available in SG, yet Singaporeans are more familiar with Swedish meatballs. Weird.

转机的时候去过一次马尼拉的教堂是挺不错的但是在那边会有很强烈的割裂感可能上世纪的辉煌留下的遗产城市摩天大楼很多可是你会看到大楼底下很多没穿衣服的流浪汉，裸脚的小孩子肆意奔跑。但是如果你去马尼拉著名旅游景点例如古城区唐人街附近会有蛮多警察把守但是相对的杂人就有很多早上独自一个人走在街上会有点怕怕我一个男生独自走都怕所以女孩建议找个伴😂

我是玩潜水的，在潜水店多的地方，来潜水的游客多的地方，治安都不错的。本身潜水行业人士受国际组织规管。潜水专业人士门槛高需要学习很多科学知识交很多钱。这些专业人士聚居的地方治安都不会差哪里去因为治安差就会影响当地旅游业砸他们饭碗的。菲律宾就很多这种潜水员潜水行业人员聚居多的地方。过去跟中国领土矛盾不激化时这些潜水地我去过就没碰到什么被抢的事。但现在菲律宾经过疫情的经济变差和跟中国领海矛盾激化，华人中国人去菲律宾就风险高很多了，好多电信诈骗绑架园区在马尼拉周边。中国大陆人出去外国是防范意识普遍差，属于傻白甜😂这次绑架撕票案当事人就是这种

去过菲律宾两次感觉还好啦，菲律宾人民跟其他国家的人一样有好有坏，治安的还是有很多背包客，和独自旅行的人，都出去走走看看不同国家，感觉菲律宾也不是最差的，因国而议。菲律宾华人很多，华人游客还是很多。

其实菲律宾反华主要是反中国人，不是反其他国家的华人。菲律宾应该不会反亚细安国家的华人。但是因为菲律宾人也无法分辨华人旅客是来自什么国家的，他们肯定会误以为所有的华人都是中国人。为了不想被人误以为是大陆人，我们新加坡人还是不要去菲律宾旅游为妙！😅

Boracay is very nice . But there is no direct flight. We left Singapore in the morning, arrive at Boracay in the evening: change flight at Manila, bus ride about 2 hours then half hour boat ride to Boracay.

十多年前去过 Cebu 出差。那里的保安人员都手提机枪的。女的则带半自动手枪。我去菲利宾之前就听闻那里人人拥枪，我就问接待我的菲利宾同事，他有没有枪？他说有，是半自动手枪。。。

很可惜的是菲律宾有很好的旅游资源，但是菲政府不会善用这些资源！我前几年跟朋友们一起去了一趟菲律宾，在菲律宾各大𡷊上旅游措施不是很完善，交通状况很差！如果没有熟人带路，真的摸不着方向，还好那边服务小姐姐待度非常好。语言方面没有障碍！其他方面改善空间还是很大！

@@jt6231 let's look at the facts. It's true that Philippines are not at the top 10 most safe countries in the world. And I do not undermine other people's risk assessment of Philippines if they had gone there before. If they have been there and they feel it's not safe, go ahead. They are right to give their comment based on personal experience. All I do is to caution people from casting a permanent judgement based on online information and to really make the trip there to give credible replies based on real experience. Alot of Chinese never get into trouble in Philippines. That's a fact. A few kidnaps doesn't mean that ALL Chinese will be kidnapped. That's a huge differnce. And it's also a fact that people who do not behave themselves well overseas tend to be at higher risk of being the target of kidnapping and other crimes because they get the bad guys attention. It means these groups of people who are at higher risk of being targeted need to tone down and learn to respect the local custom. Gaslighting means I twist the reality. I'm not. It's a reality that some people behave badly overseas. And we know who those groups of people might be. Am I surprised that the Chinese nationals get targeted? I'm not. Because I have witnessed with my own eyes and ears how some are obnoxious towards the filippino locals. Please be reminded that not all Chinese are like that. Do they deserve it to be kidnapped? Absolutely not! I am aware that some comments here are by trolls. They lack common sense and want to put down other countries. All I did was to raise logical argument so that people do not think almighty that they are superior than others.

@@lecherhao86 did you see in the comments section of past Hong Kong tourists being killed by local police during hostages standoff. There was no apology from the Philippine government. Americans behave very badly to the Mexicans. I witness with my own eyes those group of blondes were verbally assaulted the store clerk. I do not see any Americans blaming themselves for their behavior to get killed or kidnapped. Only certain group of self hate Chinese people blame on mainland Chinese. Tourists should be protected even thought a small group of bad apples behaved rudely since the host country wants to maintain their country’s reputation. They can blacklisted those tourists. Some Americans as well as British are infamous with their behaviors too. If they get kidnapped or killed, would anyone be insane to blame them for their conduct? Does it justify for them to get killed. Their people will not visit those unsafe countries. Philippine in general is a corrupt and unsafe country period. Why don’t you ask Philippine government to do better instead of victim shaming the whole group of citizens (mainland Chinese) just because you married a Filipina.

其实没有这样严重，我如果有机会是会去的，被绑架的那些人都是自己炫富造成的，新加坡人出国尤其在菲律宾大多数人都会用英语交谈，所以会被误以为中国人的机会不大，凡是出国无论去那个国家只要保持新加坡人应有的素质和警惕性就无须多余的担心。

I have been to Philippines a few time to work. It is not unsafe if you dont go wander into places of ill repute. I can understand why so many countries singled out PRC for special visa processing. Reason is simply because many illegal activities in Philippines are run by PRC, e.g., chinese mafia, illegal gambling dens, scams etc. The recent kinapping of 2 chinese businessmen was also likely pepetrated by Chinese nationals aided by some locals.
