This development will greatly benefit Malaysians, especially those in JB. Pity that the last PM, Dr. Mahathir don't have the foresight to accomplish this.

I don't think so. The Causeway is already serving traffic. People can already go to and fro. This rail is just another option. It is not like previously closed, now suddenly open. Then yes. There is a good chance it will grow. The economy will likely remain status quo. Some excitement at the beginning yes...but after under 1 year will go back to what it is now. There is no reason for local Malaysians to buy condos/apartments. Landed is always better. Plus why would Singaporeans buy a property in Malaysia when they cannot stay 365 days a year unless they put nother 800k deposit in a bank in Malaysia which they cannot touch??? Who would be so stupid?
