It is surprising the retreat from Orthodox bibliology by Craig Evans. What he said is totally againt the record of the church fathers, who said the the gospels were written by the apostles personally. Hebrew Matthew in AD35, Mark in 45, Luke in 65, Greek Matthew translated in the 60s, John in 69.

1&2 Thessalonian were wriiten against two questions of the church of Thessalonia. One about rapture, one about the Antichrist.

The verse on Trinity in 1 John 5:8 was added by Erasmas in 1500s, but the doctrine of trinity was established in the 300s. It has no influence on the doctrine.

John 8:1-11 and Mark 16:9-20 were not in the earliest manuscripts. But they influnce no doctrines.

Early church fathers are much closer to the oeiginal than German scholars in 1900s. The closer one know better, this is common sense.
