i have a velbon fluidhead and its very smooth. does this smooth for video, or there any adjustment for make it smooth. i have seen it to be very stiff the pan and tilt not to good for video

Thank you for watching my video. There is a strong relationship between the strength of the tripod and the hardness of the pan head oil. Normally, you adjust the head for the speed of panning, but problems can arise if the head is stiffer than the strength of the tripod. However, I think it is important to find the best adjustment range while actually using it because of the influence of old and new pan head oil and the effect of temperature on the oil.

@@harukaze-suzushi someone mention that you can seting the hardness of the pan and tilt through below screw tripod hole with allan key, have you try that? he said that it would make the pan smoother and not to hard

とても面白いですね。ヘッドのスライドは、カウンターバランスの代わりの 機能でしょうか。ところでボールレベラーは、別途下部に付けるのですね。

カウンターバランスの代わりというよりも、前後の重量を同じにするための支点をずらすためです。プロ用のビデオ三脚だと当たり前についている機能です。カウンターバランスというかカウンタースプリングは、カメラの重量に対してそれを水平に戻す力を与えるもので、これもプロ用三脚だと数段階の強さを調整して、どの角度で手を離してもカメラがお辞儀したり上を向いたりしないために設定します。 このヘッドの場合、そこまでの機能はありませんね。

まぁ、ベターなヘッドですね。パンのトルク調整が難しいです。すぐ緩んでグラグラします。

スチル撮影ではパン棒が邪魔になることが多いので　伸縮するのはいいアイデアですね。 カウンターバランスが効かないのは使いにくいです。 中華のコピー品の動きが渋くなったのでSLIKのSVH-501に買い換えましたが　とてもいい感じです。

手を放すとき　必ずネジを締めなくてはならないとすれば不便ですね
