I like to share my retirement life with some retired and pre-retired fellows . I am a Canadian, I came to Canada since I was a big kid. I studied, worked, married, and having babies. Now, I am retired. I am a full time volunteer interpreter work in the local hospitals . I help people who needs language help. I keep myself busy everyday. I finally go back to my mother tugged language and use it everyday. I have no word to describe my abundance deep in my mind.
廢話 to lump together retirement as a single topic. Who would want to go to work if they don't get paid. No one would work (real work) for free. It's all about one's own financial situation. For those who have the financial means to live well, retirement is a blessing. For those who are forced to "retire" and have to worry about how to sustain their living without a paycheck, life in retirement can be unpleasant.
The Labour Department has a "Middle & old-aged Employment Scheme". He should go to the Labour Department to consult the scheme, the Government is encouraging the elderly to continue their employment.
