Well..Im embarrassed to say this but ...I figured out why my approaches were off consistently. I wasn't selecting the LOC fast enough to intercept it. I will post a video here to show my correction. I made a bit of a lousy landing but all survived. Thanks for the help.

what would u recommend me to pick for long flights b757 or b767?

If you're doing over 5-6 hours, the 767 gives you the fuel capacity for that. Anything from western USA to Hawaii (about 5-6 hrs) or a north and eastern North America to Iceland/Ireland/UK is doable with the 75. You'll have to watch the winds and the range on a westbound leg. Probably more than you wanted. More than 6, get the 76.

Do you have a video on VOR navigation in the 757, specifically using the auto pilot while flying inbound to a VOR

No we don’t. If you are flying inbound to a VOR, set the course to the outbound radial. If you are inbound on 270 and want to fly 090 away from it, set the course to 090. If you want to fly 030, your bearing would be 030 but since you are traveling to it, your radial would be the reciprocal or the 210 radial inbound/or 030 bearing. A radial “radiates” from it, a bearing brings you to it.

If you’re asking about the EFB, you click on it on the side pocket. If you’re asking about Avitab, you must have the Avitab plug-in.

HI, friend! I see you know a lot of the 767, congrats! Please help me with autothrotle in the 767. Every time I do a takeoff with the 767, and set my autopilot, i get overspeed. The autothrotle dont work! You have this problem? Sorry for my bad english!

Are you using VNAV with auto throttles? If the FMC is correctly set, using VNAV should let the autopilot control the speed and pitch. This will give a safe climb to cruising altitude without overspeeding.

On takeoff, you also want to pull the nose up to about 15 degrees, this will keep the airspeed from building too rapidly. We have a Delta 423 Part 2 video in the FF757 that might help. Part 1 is mostly the preflight activities, part two is pushback to climb out. Take a look at those when you have time and see if you catch anything useful. If you still have a similar problem comment back and we will do the best we can to assist! :)

Every flight plan has me going into a traffic holding circle and not flying directly into runway heading. Im flying a 767 not a cessna 157

We’re not sure we follow your question. Are you inputting the STAR to runway? The 757/767 FMC will not allow you to input the arrival information (I don’t think) until you are greater than half the distance between the arrival and departure airport. Verify this is being done, otherwise you are likely to end up at the end of a plan, possibly resulting in the hold. This is just a theory.

@@FlightBrothersFT I do get a list of available runways along with a transition in the fmc plans but...they all end up a sharp turn or circle. The approaches are never straight on. Therefore..the localized cannot be intercepted.btw My plan is KWSF to KJFK I've tried ils 22...ils 13....ils 31...

When it’s flipped to the hdg position during alignment, it shows time remaining until alignment complete.

It’s up to you. I generally don’t care what my current position is, so I usually leave it showing the wind/speed data. Depending on the options selected from the tablet, the wind data may or may not be displayed on the instrument panel.

@@FlightBrothersFT alroght. Gonna check it out. I really have my troubles with this aircraft. Do you have GA issues too? Or even after landing? The APPR mode is not possible to disconnect on mine, so when I have to do a Go Around I must fly manually and have no FD, while it‘s not smart to take eyes away from the PFD because the aircraft is pretty wild 🙄

Hmm, I’m not too familiar with any issues. The approach mode should be disabled once you flip the AP disco bar down on the MCP. As for the GA, I have not done one in a very long time. IIRC after pressing TOGA to initiate, your FD should still be available, you would have to re-enable the AP, though I don’t remember if the gear and flaps are tied into that process.

Sounds like your plan is from a different AIRAC cycle than your FMC has. The nav points are updated monthly, usually with very minor changes here and there. The futher apart the AIRAC data cycles, the more changes and issues you'll have. You can either update the data (for example Navigraph charts subscription service) or roll back the simbrief.com cycle when planning to match your xp cycle.

My final descent always misses the runway by a few degrees. The plane lands unto roadways and blgs alongside the runway...why?

I assume you aren’t hand flying. Does this act the same with an ILS and an RNAV? I’ve never had an issue with the FF757/767 landing. Make sure you are setting the final approach course on the ILS receiver if you are using it.

@@FlightBrothersFT I programmed the ILS runway into the FMC. The FMC had the Nav radio properly set to the ILS frequency. I dont believe I intercepted the localizer yet glideslope was picked up. Weird

@@lastcall170 you tuned this ILS receiver, not nav 1 correct? The ILS is in the center console, and your VOR is in front of the captain/FO respectively. The FMC doesn’t auto tune the ILS. If you are on an RNAV the procedure is slightly different but contained within the FMC. GS intercept should be below the Glideslope.

My apologies @user-ew6lx4xw2u. I was able to zoom in on my mobile device, so perhaps that would help. This was an early video and I did not zoom appropriately during many of those videos, I had a large tv as my monitor so everything seemed fine at the time, but we discovered later some more consistency. I do apologize and hope you may find some of our other videos, especially later ones, more enjoyable for you. Thanks! -Lee

Pepe roberto that is extremely odd. I would suggest possibly a different flight plan, if that doesn’t work then I would do a clean install of the aircraft

Pepe roberto it’s likely they changed something. The video is over a year old and the aircraft has been updated. I haven’t flown either the 75 or 76 in quite sometime, maybe 6 months ago, but I had no issues with it at that time.
