So far it has lived up to its promises. Looks a lot better. Better on frames , lighting during day and for me memory usage is significantly less

XP12 now need a good orthophoto and photogrametry (likeApple Maps). With these new clouds, it has all to be the new Candy Eye flight simulator

definitely the architecture of Xplane 12 needs to get fixed . THAT has always been my issue. the rendering of buildings etc doesnt look realistic. more like arcadish

The main problem with X-Plane for me was the Saved game functionality. You can't save a flight where you left it with aircraft not native to X-Plane. You have the start from scratch each time. Seems the beta did a lot of stuff that really doesn't help the game. Just a lot of technical guff.

I mean youre right however it seems like aircraft equipped are the ones abled to do that which i rightly believe the sim needs it. So many crashes to simulators and there must have a where you left off function so i believe youre right and something i would post in the forums and try either a pull request or something

@@CaribFLYChannel I have done that with both Flight Factor and X-Plane, and it was X-Plane who told me that it is up to the maker of the plane, and sure enough, theirs do fine, but their plane selection that come with the X-Plane package is pathetic, and most people use either freeware of payware to enjoy this hobby. Technically, X-Plane seems to be miles above what MSFS has, but you can't enjoy it unless you have hours to just sit and fly your planes. After over 1 year, I have only ILS landed the 777 maybe 5 times. You have to basically start a new flight each time, and that means flight plans, time to get there and be lined up. It was like using a stair-master, never really getting anywhere. Instead of a refreshing hobby, it was like a job, and very exhausting. With MSFS, I could save at any point in the flight, and pick up where I left off. That's why I will probably go back to MSFS. Then, just maybe I can begin enjoying this hobby again, and it won't be like a second job.

I have a question about x plane 12.1 beta? Can I reinstall Xplane 12, all my purchased planes are not responding since my update yesterday evening! I think VisualXP Ultimate has a conflict with the update. It seems like the sim hangs during the flight, and it barely responds to the control pulses! Can I reinstall the all new planes the Aerobask-DA62 , the king air 350, and the Beech Twin Bonanza D50B XP12? Before the update everything was fine and it was a pleasure to fly with these planes! It would be nice if there was an undo button if the new update gets you into trouble!

In terms of reinstall yes . Xplane is very easy to reinstall. In fact, you just need the xplane installer and navigate to where you want to install the folders then add your serial key. If you purchased through stream you can also reinstall as well in a temporary location and your key would already be included since purchased from stream. Visualxp hasnt updated the atmosphererics or any of that so i personnaly use it off with weather only now since the default is upgraded to show better visuals. As to undo update for xplane you can do it through the xplane installer and untick the beta which would go to the latest release candidate and not the beta. Reinstall all aircrafts or addons after by removing all left over files from Uninstaller. Sim hangs during flight might be due to corrupted files or memory leaks which xplane have manage to fix which i see a significantly less ram or Vram usuage. What is your system rig by the way ??

@@pfv3462 yes i have a RTX 4050 but only 8gb Turbo and i realised it not as powerful in keeping up rendering. So a 16gb or 12gb is ideal and 24 and up in Ram size is ideal. Xplane and all its background apps connected to run takes up about 17gb of ram for me which i did upgrade both ram and gpu but the VRAM definitely needs to be high enough to sustain fps with visuals. Flightsim is still CPU bound since cores are important. my 4 cores use to freeze sim ,but now i have 8 16 threads decent enough however , my testing have shown that CPU strength is important in relations to CORES. My cores would bottleneck and slow game down and freeze sim as well in the past. Now ive only had 1 freeze in months since CPU upgrade to Ryzen 7 7 series

@@CaribFLYChannel I bought this AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, 3.4 GHz (4.9 GHz Turbo Boost) socket AM4 yesterday! Then I can do this upgrade without changing my motherboard. The graphics card will also be replaced afterwards! Yesterday when starting x plane I briefly got the message that my graphics settings were too high! Thanks again for your feedback

Looks good, however I'd still say MSFS is still ahead in terms of visuals. Looking forward to what Laminar could do in the future, but in my opinion this update still isn't enough for me to purchase as I have already invested hundreds of dollars into MSFS :(

Whats about those who also has P3D 😅 Mate flightsim is expensive but yes i agree Xplane visuals still isnt enough as of yet however, Ortho makes a hell of a difference with the existing lighting in Xplane and my oh my TOLISS is a God sent.

i got it from the store. Microsoft store that is. but if is the update. The xplane 12 installer. Press the beta at the bottom to get the latest beta. At this point you will see beta 2 and not 1 the initial 1 since it updated

@@rikoulegeek7384 dont look for the update through steam. Download the xplane 12 installer direct and use that installer exe and tick beta that way should work since im aware Stem doesnt have the beta patch as of yet at the time

Yea you definitely need to upgrade. I have a 6gb vram with turbo boost to 8gb and it still has its issues. Definitely 8 to 12 is the sweetsport for most 64 bit version simulators

@@5cG001 30-45 fps is perfectly fine. even 25 is if its on high setttings. If you have a medium system with fps of 20 or so then you definitely have to take the loss of some lower quality settings or visuals im afraid. There are however, FPS boast tools and tweaks for XPlane. MAX power performance in the Nvidia card setting. Clear your GLCache . With textures, it comes with Vram and I'm afraid if you don't have thunderbolt that can step up your GPU, you either have to fly in areas that takes up lesser FPS hit for your system. But theres no way your 4gb of VRAM will be able to run textures better as most likely you going to get stuttering and as well Lower FPS due to Maxing out VRAM. Your only chance is to try the FPS boast for XPane that tweaks the settings on the Fly so it adjust along. Maybe that might help abit but other than that 6gb is minimum specs with 8 gb recommended

@@5cG001 So far what ive realised with Zink is that it significantly reduces resource allocation (thats memory usage) and i have seen better visuals. Much stable than before but the visuals to an extent has been better since its like VULKAN in XPlane 11 that boast the rendering engine than the old OPENGL. That means the visual boast should be alot more pronounce which it is on my end

Well 1stly I don't think the development team for each simulator looks to outperform each other 😆but mainly have different platforms available but i could say that Xp12 have really changed Xplane platform. With MSFS, its more less visuals and streaming to showcase visuals whereas Xplane is not stream based. The Autho is purely based on RAM or cache. Even if MSFS is, they've having a poor job in managing the performance with visuals. Thats just my opinion

Everytime someone states that MSFS is "better" you already know that you are dealing with a biased fanboy. Pointless to argue. Both have pros and cons and its up to individual preferences. I found MSFS very bad and have deleted it. Case solved. And I don't have the need to bash MSFS on their forums or videos like some insecure lemmings from M$ who keep embarassing themselves.

@@goldgamer8446 i definitely agree with you. I fly more with Xplane than MSFS even if i like MSFS. Yes its pointless to argue. They both have pros and cons and the public needs to understand that.
