EXCELLENT JOB. I am well versed in the G1000 but love the way you explain all the details, and no, for a beginner it is NOT too detailed, in fact is it perfect and would love to see more on the G1000 as well as the GTN 750. Keep up the Great Job!

Both your video production value and your teaching skills are exceptional! Many thanks. I am now going to visit your KZbin page and hope that their other videos relating to the G-1000! Many years ago I used to fly into my home airport in both my Commander and previously in my 182 using their ILS. I did manage to figure out how to capture the ILS on this G-1000 but it wasn't easy without some guidance. My planes still had 'steam gauges' so this G-1000 is new to me. I think that intercepting then flying the ILS is a great exercise for any pilot, in a sim or otherwise. It's fun and it helps to sharpen your skills. Thanks for your excellent work and for sharing.

Hey 👋 thanks a million for the VFR FLIGHT ✈️ Review. I learned that way back in the ‘60’s when I got an Acutron watch for Christmas. It’s really a a great 👍 VFR tool for short hops in unfamiliar territory if you have a watch with analog hands and a road map which most people don’t. But it really works, and it really is a smart idea to keep a map in your flight bag along with a paper sectional. Never know when you might have instrument failure and need to go old school. Anyway, I still like analog watches and flying with steam gauges. Thanks again for a great 👍 video.

I'm delighted you liked the Video Steve, we actually still use the handheld CRP-5's and slide rulers and VFR charts for training here in Europe. Funny story - I was flying in California a few years ago and landed in a small strip, there were lots of Vets from 40's 50's 60's from the airforce having coffee. When they saw me planning my next legs with the manual flight computer at my table - they where amazed, they all come over and were fascinated that I was using such antiquated navigation techniques. They said they haven't seen one since the war! One Texan said, "Hot Dang Kid, use one of these", and put his GPS in my face and proceeded to show me how it worked. I retorted, "What witchery is this"! What sort of sorcery and Idolatry is this!", while I took out the batteries and asked him to show me how it worked. We had a great laugh!!

Helpful. Good aircraft to use too- because its easier to see the g1000. Would look forward to a session on 1) Using autopilot and 2) flying point to point and then intercepting a glide slope using IFR and RNAV settings. Also what happens/ what to do when you don't pick up the ILS or RNAV signal? The step by step approach is helpful.

Hi Dick, It maybe my accent which is why you find it difficult to hear me, depending where you come from. However, I do agree that it is a common issue with people speaking too fast on youtube videos, I admit in this video I do speak too quickly, as it is with all new you-tubers, and I was new to youtube in the making of this video. Since the making of this video I have invested in new sound voice recording equipment and speak more slowly. I spoke to a voice actor briefly, and believe it or not there is quite a lot training and technique involved, which I cannot afford at the moment. In my next video, (out on or before this Saturday), I'll Keep your comment in mind, let me know what it sounds like! Here is a later video, let me know if it is clearer than the earlier videos.
