I have the b&w version with the base. I like it because the original '54 suit is derpy looking, but this sculpt makes him look much more badass. Everybody references the GMK white eyes, but I have one of the original '65 Astro Monster movie posters, where Godzilla is pictured with white eyes, and my guess is Kaneko may have lifted the GMK white eyes design from that poster...but who knows. I'm getting the new EZHobi '54, which is also stylized, and I'm thinking that one may usurp this one, will see...

Yeah the original design isn’t for everyone. This figure definitely makes him more menacing for sure. I do remember seeing that poster of the Godzilla with the white eyes for the Astro Monster movie. It’s a possibility Kanako used that as inspiration but not sure. I think the reason my people refer to GMK the most when it comes to just white eyes is because it’s the only representation and actual design made that why on purpose. Anything else is just an artistic take on said designs/characters.

Badass figure for sure. Most of the 54 figures look goofy in some way. I have the minus one ichaban figure and the skin tones and textures look similar to that. The problem with pretty much all the minus one figures are the heads are just too small. It's out of proportion. Would probably see this on ebay for like $1500. It's crazy how expensive these high demand pieces sell for on the second hand market.

I completely agree. Not all 54s look good. I am curious to see what the new 30cm Xplus MinusGoji when it comes out. Yeah the secondary market is crazy
