Can you please cover technical settings like MAS and KVP. I realize all X-Ray machines are calibrated differently, but I was just wondering if you could dive a little deeper into your experiences with those technical aspects in your next video.

www.pinterest.com/pin/528821181226620506/ Found that chart to be pretty good. Can print it out and make adjustment per your machine. After awhile you will know it by heart. Pay attention and reference to the EI, S-number, DI numbers on the machine. Ask what is their ranges. Kinda give you an idea on how much mAs you need depending on pt habitus.

This is such a thoughtful idea! When I first started xray school and before clinical sites, I took a picture of one of our lab's tube, printed it out, and put it on a clipboard so I could "practice" what controls moved it which direction. Kinda silly but it helped me when it came to practicals!

I noticed you have tattoos, I have a sleeve on one arm and at the school I’m applying for the paperwork mentioned that tattoos are to be fully covered during entire course and clinicals. So we’re supposed to wear those arms sleeves, did you experience anything like this?
@jgmartinez33494 жыл бұрын
tony rivera once in the program. You’ll be able to get by the clinical rules of each center/hospital you go to. Which is usually allowed as long as they aren’t offensive (nudity/profanity/discriminatory). I have half sleeves on both and they didn’t mind them showing.

Once you set everything up with the x-ray tube and table bucky (detent). Don't move the x-ray tube/bucky anymore. Just slide the table. During x-ray school, I saw a lot of my classmate make that mistake. After hearing 3 to 4 clicks on the table and x-ray tube, you know you doing too much. lol Dont be afraid to make mistake. Have fun and learn.

Hi does accidentally adjusting MaS higher can result into excessive and above suggested radiation exposure to the patient?is there a ceiling to avoid for such a thing to happen?Are the settings also recorded with every sessions?thanks
@XRAYREY3 жыл бұрын
if it's done time and time again sure. But I wouldn't be concerned if it was just one exam. We as rad techs make sure we use the lowest dose possible on everything image. The settings, as you call them, can be recorded on some rooms.
