I just recently picked up an original Overdrive and it's neat seeing how well they captured the little things with their version. Definitely going to pick this one up.

Just got our today from ShowZ. I’m loving the alt-mode! It’s brings back major nostalgic feels! I remember ordering these guys with robot points from the back of boxes and getting them all in the mail. The three Omnibots, especially Camshaft, were my favorites, and I had all of the Transformers. I was an 80’s child, born in ‘76, and these three always had a special place in my toy box!

I love that they added so much interior detail. They really made this figure exactly what I (and I imagine many others) expected an XTB Omnibot would be like.

Excellent review as always. I think you're the first reviewer to get their hands on this figure. Look forward to you reviewing the entire Omnibots line. X-Transbots has really stepped up their game with toon accurate figures and figures like this that no other company has tackled. I really want to see a review of their Runabout and Runamuck figures. They can't come soon enough.

Overall, I am very pleased with the figure. As with XTB, I have QC issues, ans one headlight covers came off, ans I had the hit the one headlight with a rubber hammer to close it. I am looking forward to the rest of the omnibots though. I have at least one race car repaint on order for the alt mode for each one. Thanks for the review and transformation instruction Sony. XTB nailed the car mode as it’s beautifully painted. This Ferrari model has always been a favorite of mine. The robot mode looks good too though I wish the heels looked a little better and personally I wish they would ditch doing interiors to make the robot and alt modes the best that they can be. Overall though a great job by XTB which makes me excited to get this. Thanks for getting the review up so fast it really helps us out.

It would have been a nice homage if they named this one "Magnum" or "Selleck" after Magnum, PI. Also, I think it would be really cool if the tires folded up like in Back to the Future II. I know it wouldn't be authentic to the G1 Omnibot, but would be an optional choice and would enhance it, IMO.

A lot of the same old, same old from this company. For a figure that is not just good but great in so many areas, how can they just... stop, when it comes to completing the back of the foot? That's just a hollow mess back there, and they spent so much time and effort filling in the calf. I find XTB to be really frustrating for this kind of dichotomy in their designs. Still, this is a strong effort and I imagine all three Omnibots will be completed at this high-quality level. If they had not done it, there likely would be no Omnibot representation at the masterpiece scale. Looking forward to mine showing up soon. Great video.

NAILED IT! It hit out of the park! Glad I had mine on pre order since first released. Not gonna lie was taking a chance. I do like XTB and they have done mostly well with their releases. They have been Hit and Miss. Looking forward to mine. I have the other 2 on pre order as well, and if they are nicely done as this, will be EXCEPTIONALLY HAPPY. Now looking to order a recolor or two. I wanted the trio when I was a kid. How does he compare to WildRider? Thank you for the Review. It puts my angst to rest. Keep up the excellent work

Not a huge fan of the windows hanging off the arms and the feet aren’t great but overall, it looks nice. I’m interested in getting the Rainbow Racer version of Poplights. Thanks for sharing!

I really love the car mode. The bot looks great but yeah, the feet are disappointing. I will leave it for a bit then change it back to car mode and probably never change it again. Very much needed this video to do it right, so many weird little flaps. Curiously, it's made me wish a new MP Sideswipe would come out. The heft of diecast really makes me feel like a I have something special and Overdrive has that, Whereas Takara Lambor and and Badcube Steamroll don't.

Got mine today. This is my first xtransbot. I ordered the other omnibots and Bond/James. Great alt mode, robot mode o.k. terrible feet and hands suck. Fragile parts too. Be careful transforming him.

XTB if they execute these Omni-bots and battlechargers (runabout & runamock) they could make a lot of $$$. I hope these do well, as their success with these may inspire others to take on more obscure characters inside the MP space. Good job on the review. Definitely helped me to decide whether or not to purchase.

TMReviews, have you ever broken any of the bots during transformation? You seem to manage the transformations with a greater finesse than some of the other reviewers.

Yes, I have definitely broken them during review before (of course I try not), it's only a matter of time before you get bad luck on QC, especially with XTB and KFC I tend to have random issues

I'm someone who gets Transformers to transform them. This figure obviously looks incredibly beautiful. How does it feel? As in, are joints too tight or too loose? Does anything feel like it'd need to be fixed/shaved/tightened?

Nah, was down while doing the legs then was up at 12:10 at the beginning of the torso. I had to go back and check but it was simple enough.

Absolutely gorgeous. I just paid for this figure at TCP and hoping to snag the Huntsman figure too. I loved getting these original figures as a kid... it's crazy to think what our MP collections would be like without 3P... my collection would sure be small! lol

FYI...DO NOT FLIP THE SIDE MIRRORS UP!!! They're glued in, thats why they loosen up!! Plus flipping them up serves zero purpose anyway, they had zero baring on the transformation.

Mine were already loose out of box so it appeared to be movable

Yeah, mine were really solid until I flipped them up and one snapped off. It doesn't serve any purpose so definitely don't do it. I feel like they were intended to move but were too lose and then had to be glued late in production. So how tight they remain once the glue is cracked will vary from copy to copy. At least it's an easy fix.

Mine has so many loose joints from the pins, no way of tightening them :-(

damn that would really suck, mine has nice tight joints, but i can see how bad it would be since there are many things that dont lock into place and the limbs having just friction joints to hold the weight of this toy

It's a great figure but it sucks that these newer car bots are over the $100 mark. He's not on my must-have character list but if I can find him for under $100, I'd get him.

Is this a brand new mold? I know very little about 3rd party G1 figures, but this car mode is amazing and very Alternators-esque. I'd like to know if there are other 3rd party G1 car modes like this. Or honestly a car mode like this from any line. I already know about Human Alliance and DX9 La Hire so I'd like to hear some other ones.

I actually reckon my favourite XTB bots are the bigger ones, which feel more robust and less fiddly - like Gravestone or Dante.

Sadly this is just another typical X-Transbots release. Poor tolerances, loose joints, and overly engineered. While it looks great in both modes, there's just too many issues with this release as with any X-Transbots release.

It actually is a ferrari BB 512. I had to look it up. The 512 & 308 are very similiar in look.
