I honestly miss the punch. The nova strike was a great decision and made the fight more believable but the punch was honestly filled with more emotion to me, and it also referenced zero's origin

Originally, I didn't like the change at 5:15. But the more that I thought about it, it gives way more value to when X goes full melee at 5:46. Since close combat is Zero's domain, so seeing X suddenly switch from long range to melee would catch Zero off guard.

Looking between the comparisons, you can tell more detailing went into the remake, most likely because UMX has got more experience with sprite work than he did back in 2010, and the original version is a little blurred. The few things I loved in the remake was X charging at Zero with a Nova Strike, screaming out for Zero because it adds to X's desperation to get his best friend back, and then the way X shot his charge shot up when he was about to shoot Zero. It was in the original, yes, but the remake makes it clearer.

Both are cool, UMX put a even more details on the remake, is quite sad that he didnt had the original assets, seeing that in HD would be really cool, the voice in some moves X or Zero on the Fight gives it more feeling, the only change i could see is about the moves of meele (X Awakening) and the nova strike, i think it gives it more sense the nova strike since Zero has good reflexes so if he go to punch Zero, Zero would cut him really fast, so the Nova Strike is a good option, i still love the fact that when X receives a lot of damage his Armour breaks and he switch to another one, a cool fact that I only see in X5 at the start when you choose Zero.

I was the thinking the same thing about Awakened Zero his 3 slash combo and his Mid Air Spinning Attack and UAX's Nova Strike when tries to stop him was a bit different than the original i preferred the old one was more solid to see.

I like the change made in 4:36, he used commander yammark stage on 2010 but now its axle the red's stage, which makes more sense since is x5

The removal of the Ultimate Armor Punch is so sad because on one hand, it makes sense he would use Nova Strike and it looks cooler, but...come on, man, the punch was funny. It's a trade-off, and it was probably the right decision, but... it was funny

Here's my two cents on the punch change. To me, the punch went along with the fact that MegaMan getting very tired. The emotion flowed right into his heavy breathing when he went into the boss room. After the change to the nova strike, he seemed to still be full of energy, and when he started breathing heavy, the emotion didn't seem to flow as well. That being said. Both animations are still masterpieces of retro animation!

For me, i more like Studio B version for X vs Zero battle. You can see it in X vs Zero 2 Studio B. I like how this channel make X really grow with battle. X not naive like ultimate maverick version, X really do something that Dr. light programmed to him. Yes... Unlimited potential, fight with all his power to defeat and save zero in same time. I hate to say, but ultimate maverick making zero superior with sword that can always parry every shoot of X, can use long range tho is very meh beside of good animation.. cmon guys, this is rockman X show, not Zero show. Sorry for bad grammar...

Well ever since Zero got the saber he become more than he was since he had upgrades and was quicknon learning how to use the saber besides he usually showed more advancement compared to X until X5 where X had learned how to fight and gained more powerful armors in which he could finally fight with Zero as an equal plus Zero could erase shots with his sword either ways

I mean of course zero can parry every shot, this is zero we're talking about. When it comes to swords, that's zero's expertise. Plus it doesn't matter which video is better, what matters is the fact that UMX, studio B, shadowpry and JKB are keeping the megaman community alive.

@@EA-bv8zk no. In megaman x2, there's moment that X second charge shoot can penetrate Zero buster and Zero slash. That's why, for me it doesnt make sense if zero too op and always can parry every X attack, and X vs Zero studio B version more reasonable than UMX bcs X attacks can balance zero attacks
