This this right here is my FAVORITE part of the movie. The sounds and visuals bring these fictional craft to life!

The fact that there's no music really adds up to the tension. You can feel the suspense, the anxiety, the doubt. Will the attack proceed as planned? Will the mission unfold according to keikaku? Will Yavin -- and therefore the Rebel Base -- be saved? You can feel the weight on the shoulders of all these brave pilots as they climb into their cockpits.

@@koopanique On the other hand, imagine the approach to the Death Star scene without the music. That would be terrible.

@@Youda00008 Yes, of course! Music is necessary in such a movie, but sequences without music have their place too. A good part of the Battle of Yavin has no music. Then, when the music starts (when Red Leader gets shot down by Vader), the viewer understands that the situation is getting tense and it adds to the feeling of urgency. It's good editing!

Sounds just like the ramp at BDL when the Breeze A220’s are being pushed back from the gate.

The only problem is the ground crew didn't wear earphones for sound protection, although jets are quieter than piston engines but still loud enough to cause hearing problems.

Hope they got earplugs or something

Technically fusial thrust engines aren't jets. At take-off/landing you're mostly hearing the turbines at idle, and obviously repulsorlifts are almost silent. Plus you notice the deck marshals wearing noise-attenuating helmets. The ground crews have skedaddled.

I'm sure their helmets already have hearing protection built in or something like that.
