No dripping, consistent technique, he isn't letting fill material touch his tungsten, starting down going uphill, with a good sized gap. Extremely difficult, and takes years of experience to master.

Good question- Probably from welding with a higher Chromium content filler wire for when you are welding Cr-Mo Steel pipe or tubing. This happens quite often when using those wires. For Instance ER80S-B3L filler for welding boiler tube and pressure vessel made out of Chromium Molybdenum Steels for in service temperatures above 600F. It also sometimes happens with lower deoxidizing agents in the filler wire material like ER70S-3 but not to this extent- this looks like CrMo.

SAFETY TIP don't be breathing this stuff- causes cancer from Hexavalent Chromium fumes given off while melting the filler materials. Even mild steel wire causes health problems so always make sure you have proper PPE!
