X4 Foundations / How to deal with Xenon K (Plasma Cannon, Burst Ray, Blast Mortar, Mass Driver) Test

I searched for the torpedo replacement against Xeno destroyers and got some interesting results for the tested weapons.

As anti-large I use Carriers with 15 Shih, each equipped with 1 Ion Blaster for shields, and 3 Blast Mortars for general damage. These are usually melting any large ship away in a couple dotzen seconds, and only very rarely take any losses themselves. It works both in and out of sector for me. Given that, I was a bit surprised that your Blast Mortar test did not work out for you.

Yeah, I get the feeling that I should have another watch on the Mortar. I see much positive feedback on this weapon. Maybe, I need to ramp up the numbers to get to the critical point where they kick in.

I use chimeras with 4 burst minigun and 1 mortar...they melt any ship...and they usually survive to tell the history
