Heads up: instead of medi-ray, you can use *duplex bond* on Diriga. Since this is a pretty greedy build, you spawn a lot of clones, and even *without an attack mod* the clones will still fire your weapon. I'm running a viral/rad/electricity tazicor, and the additional aggro distraction and chaining is great for both survivability and status spreading.

On my pure caster xaku build, i love using huras kubrow with stalk, and probably shade with ghost will do the same thing, to stay invisible basically the entire time if you dont use weapons. So much survivability for free, and with the damage build on huras, which is the best for it anyways, or on verglas on shade, that will weaken or kill even more enemies while your floaty guns shoot them too. Especially with roar which i use since im invisible, the pets already really tear into enemies, in some big groups they might even do more dmg then xaku if youre lucky... without other buffs then roar. But on shade you ofc could also just use a viral primer to buff your own damage to the max.

Won't the companion break stealth by attacking? I know the huras has a bug that doesn't break stealth if it was already attacking before casting, but that won't apply to most situations.

​@@analogicparadox True, but the bond mod that dupes the companion works, so you can put that on shade and the duplicates can fight without attracting attention to you. I think it's only for robotics tho so not as good for huras

​@@analogicparadox Huras never broke stealth and attacked everything for as long as ive been using it since the last pet update. No idea how it was before, but i doubt thats a bug, since if it would break invis by just attacking, the stalk mod would be literally completely useless. I tried it on shade now, and that doesnt seem to work as well, because it cant prime, since it wont attack until you attack, and THAT breaks invis. @alertedcoyote7892 That mod works on pets too, it would work on huras but its not necessary at all. On shade it sounds like an option to make it be able to attack and prime, so i guess you could use it on energy spam builds since you need to use at least 100 energy every 30sec. Normally xaku casts less then that, but with equilibrium and making the pet drop health orbs from primed enemies, it could be worth it.

Messing around with Xaku Prime and found something. When enemies are chained, arcane ice storm builds stacks every time one of Xakus floaty guns hits them... crazy (surely a bug,, its so damn good)

augmented 3 + nourish on a 280% range and neutral duration is actually a good build, more active/spammy but good way more damage for its 2 thanks to Acuse + nourish interaction, Deny for corridor nuke + heavy CC, and 100% slow with 4

Deny doesnt do anything (/not enough) though. Before you get anything out of it, just shoot your weapon and put some status on enemies.

Been running condemn since og xaku dropped, no brainer as all it was really missing was some cc and the shield regen for shield gating is just perfect for my build. Trying nourish atm but condemn just fits his kit perfectly.

Xaku is my main WF when it comes to level cap cascade. Subsume pillage over 3, take Felarx and Xoris and then it becomes the comfiest level cap.

Farmed xaku easily. I generally hold a rule where if I dont get the new frame in a month or so, I just buy it. Xaku? Day one farmed. I can't remember the last prime that was so easy.

Xaku quickly became my most played frame when he got released. He just makes gameplay comfortable. Sure, his performance might not be the best in anything, he doesn't kill super fast, he has no mobility and he can technically die when you're unlucky, but he can be played in all content. You can be active with him, but you can also chill, because you dont need to spam abilities for instance like protea. He's got armor strip, buffs, AoE... So he can do exterminate, defense, survival, disruption, archon hunts, netracells... and ontop of all that he's the box breaker no.1, so he's excellent for farming standing in the newer content isles aswell. What's not to like?

@@Pepecigar Yeah no. Try to do Defense missions at Circuit as Xaku. Death is *not* the best CC and it's frankly a lie. You'll let the defense target die before you even touch half the enemies. You could've gone to level cap if you used Xaku's CC. Aggro CC is busted even against eximuses.

@DawnAfternoon you're taking an exemple that represent a tiny sample of what Xaku will face, even in late sp circuit you just gaze 2 enemies to cover a big radius around the defense objective and nuke the rest. Ofc you can use his conversion ability there too but you should enough nuking power in the first place.

While you're sitting around the objective, enemies outside Xaku's range will shred your defense target to pieces. While you're circling around the objective to kill enemies, enemies out of your range will still shred your defense target to pieces. How to prevent that from happening? Xaku's 3.

your nezha deals a set amount of damage while xaku's guns scale to the enemy level that you stole them from (so you can steal 15x level 9999 guns). that's the biggest appeal of xaku, easy scaling. his survivability scales well too as it's dodge chance not DR (which is more useful for shield gating).

It's toxic lash but void damage, so it's pretty insane to think of it as merely a damage buff like roar. Edit: Just realized you probably meant on Xaku specifically. Roar's probably just better on account of actually buffing the 2's damage.

Overall Xata's is niche for specific weapon-based builds (or some bug abusing builds which you shouldn't be relying on), for Xaku it doesn't affect their 2 at all so you're not getting as much value out of it as you really want. Just bring a weapon that's good for Demolysts since Condemn will stun them (until their next pulse) anyway.

Honestly that's just the only part of the game you just have to learn not to die to. There's no counter play against Toxin damage. You just have to watch out for any incoming toxic enemies. Fortunately there's very few sources of Toxin damage in this game.

Xaku is still good as you can see but he did get nerfed noticeably in the jade shadows update. To be clear they didn’t nerf xaku exactly they buffed enemy health and lowered their Armour wich is bad for xaku

@Brozime My main thing is I'm not crazy about the non mobile armor strip so I've been looking at options for run n gun. Ultimately I'll end up having both for varied mission types. The few that I've seen people have been running shield gate (ik alot of people hate it. There is one with and without catalyzing) and combine it with stalk kubrow or shade to address survivability. Between duplex bond and guardian on shade it can help a lot as well.

If you want another fun option to try on Xaku, as I have been trying some new builds for one of my mains, one I am finding easy to run is roar on the 1st ability slot. I am running blessing and augmented for arcanes, combat discipline for aura and instead of umbral intensify I am running archon intensify. To sustain this I am also running vamperic grasp. I drop augur reach to fit the augment in but otherwise run the same build shown here. I won't lie, it's an odd build, but works wonders and is easy to use once you get used to it. It is also viable well past where most people leave runs. I was in a SP Omnia Conjunction Surv with 3 friends (Tank Nova, meme Nyx, and Bullet Storm Mesa) for almost 3 hours on release night with this build. I delt the most damage and had the most kills by over 2x of the next closest (mesa).

Not really. Xaku already *has* a defense strip so you are exclusively using Pillage for the shields and it's just slower than Condemn for that and also won't work on enemies without defenses (which you're stripping).

I made mine simmilar to yours brozime. Im right under 280 range at 265 and my strengh at 184 so i get armor strip with corrosive projektion. I freed up three slots to have shield recharge as my survivability tool together with wyrm i had no problems facetanking sp kuva survival.
