The reason you don't often see ridley do up b downward into ledge grab is: it is basically a more precisely timed ledge trump attempt (just shooting for two frame instead, slightly different timing) so it's harder to land than you'd think. If you miss you are now the one getting off ledge which is ridley's biggest weakness. If you don't go for it then you can edge trap which is arguably ridley's biggest strength up there with advantage state. That's why it is a mixup only. Also Smub makes me so happy as a fellow Redley main. Popping off game 3 for him that stuff was so clean and I totally agreed with the FD pick against pac man if you can't get a battlefield.

yeah ridley specials all have 1 second start up and similar end lag
