Fits perfectly! I can't listen to much music these days. Even my fav BM songs that drawn me straight into diffrent worlds are nothing more than a nuisance. I find that I have different tastes depending on my mood. Usually I like high energy or fast-paced hard rock/metal like BAND-MAID or Dragonforce, but sometimes I prefer something more contemplative and slow, like this album.

Thank you!!! I don't care too much about modern forms of promotion or making money from streaming, so I don't foresee spotify or bandcamp for the moment. The material is free to listen to and download, the fact that someone likes it is reward enough for me.

This sounds more like Varg /Burzum, Mayhem, Darkthrone. More so than Death, Atheist, Cynic, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, etc…. However it is perception and impression really. I doubt there is a precise measurement to what makes a vocal more black vs more death. It’s easier to differentiate thrash metal, doom metal, grindcore - anyways I’m getting side tracked… I personally would have called this ambient Black Metal… I fully agree with the folk though… “Ambient style blackened folk death metal” One last thing I’ll say is that it reminds me of The middle period Burzum stuff… After putting out the original/ early O.G. Norwegian Black Metal albums. When Varg was in Prison for murder through the 90s and 2000s and released many albums using only keyboards/synthesizers… It was kind of like medieval Norwegian Folk… Just made me think of that hahaha. This is some threat stuff to get lost in… I kept trying to write this comment but would like start drifting away - getting zoned out and lost in the abyss of of the the sonic waves hypnotizing … and floating away… so meditative… I was not planning on it but couldn’t help it… alright well - take care everybody! If you read this whole damn long ass ridiculous thing… You are a champ!

The Piano sounds haunting. What gives it that effect? Is it a real piano that is slightly out of tune, very old or is it a manipulated recording? Is it an electric piano with effects on?

The piano is real (not electric). An old friend, not tuned for over twenty years, hehe. Also, the sound is split into two channels, with reverb superimposed on one and echo on the other. In the fourth, fifth and sixth tracks I used some other magic tricks, but that's my secret recipe, haha! Only the last track is played on a synthesiser.
