Great analysis of what looks like a simple but powerful and efficient swing.

Love this analysis Dan. I'm always amazed at how well these guys can transition from such an explosive movement to being balanced at the the end of the swing.

Been following you a long time and particularly enjoy your swing analysis vids Dan. That said, I've noticed you've made the same error a lot of pros are making the last few years doing analysis on these modern swings and that's stating how "open" a players body is at impact, and including the upper body. You've frozen the frame on the right (3:52) showing his chest is quite open to the target yet you've labeled it "at impact" even though the club (and ball) are well on their way down the target line, whereas the TRUE impact position on the left shows his upper body (chest) is still quite closed to the target at impact as we can clearly see the buttons on his shirt still facing the camera. I've seen an interview where Xander clearly states he wants his lower body action snapping his upper body around through impact and dubs it his "anti slice" move vs trying to actively open the chest to the target through rotation - a fault we see many a weekend amateur making as they cut across the ball with an overactive torso/shoulders. Xander's move clear keeps the right shoulder down and BACK vs moving out and across if he were to be trying to open his chest to the target deliberately at impact. Maybe I'm completely wrong here but in the MANY, many analysis vids I've seen of the top pros driving the ball, this "error" seems to be repeating itself with only a few folks able to speak to what is really happening (as also compared to what the pros THEMSELVES explain they are doing). I'm not on some crusade to squash the teaching pro or anything just trying to make sure there is some clarity/accuracy to what's being presented not just for myself but for all the amateurs out there watching this like me and are trying to improve. Any and all feedback is welcome of course. Thanks Dan!

Great Video but I noticed with this swing that one must swing down the correct path through impact. Great transition point made

How do I try to prevent pushing the ball with this sort of technique. With my hips being so further ahead than my clubhead i just push it out right i feel like

Don’t try to rotate your upper body/torso open, let your lower body movement snap it around. See my post in the comments.
