That last hunter clip he's going for the horn for the chen's empty keg quest. I routinely kill those mobs at lvl 14-15 with any class as they aren't all that dangerous. The main issue is that he's running through a dangerous area instead of just taking the road.

15:25 Can confirm. Felt unkillable on my highest level hunter, went deep into a cave that I didn't know in an area I never quested in and got hyperspawned on by half a dozen mobs, all of which can cast frost bolt. And same mobs the entire way out. The fact that I still almost made it says a lot about how op hunters are. Last mob from in front of the mine got me while I was already 50 yards out of the thing.

16:15 Independent leash for pet and hunter. If the pet loses the leash (after a certain number of seconds and yards of running without stopping or re-leashing via abilities), the mob switches to the hunter for a new 30s (it was 30s 30y, wasn't it?) leash. So if you let your pet take aggro, NEVER set it to follow and passive. You'll just prolong the leash. Leave the pet fighting and resummon, should you out-range it before it dies.

16:19 the pet lost aggro because the mob didnt get hit for too long so the pullrange didnt reset, the one who had aggro (pet) ran out of the pullrange so usually the mob will reset. but since the the pet AND the player were in combat, it resetted the aggro from the pet since they ran out of pullrange but not for the player, so it just switched to the player with a new pullrange. Every hit on a mob resets the pullrange, no hit = no reset -> people run out of pullrange and the mob resets OR switches to the next target in the combat list. I hope i explained that well

Mobs have a separate timer they run after each person they're in combat with. Meaning that if a mob runs after you for 10 seconds, they will run after their primary target for those 10 seconds, then come after you after. That's how the hunter pet lost aggro I think!

The rogue def could have saved him, fastest way for him to get the mob off is mount up jump towards the shark, spam blind. If resist hit the shark and evasion tank it to death. If seems too high hp, gogue, if dodge or parry kidney if dodge parry or resist. Vanish, if vanish bug you should have ran prep, rogue is legit ez mode in all of hard-core. Sure it's not quite a bubble but you have 2 instant outs for all mobs in the game. If one bugs thats why you prep another

Hunters are OP at killing elites and high level enemies due to healing their pet and their CC toolkit.

When you jump it doesn’t increase the range, mobs hit you from your last known position on the ground, so even though you jump away, your hit box remains where your feet left the ground until they touch again.
