My mother in law was the exact same way. Very cruel, very manipulative and tried to break my husband and I up so many times. But, I didn’t cry nor did I shut up when my mother in law try to slander me. I always spoke up and argued back. I am kind and thoughtful but don’t try to slander me or I will eat you up! Learn to stand up for yourselves.

Neon Lite mine is 24 years but it gotten so bad my husband moved her out to live by herself now. Now she have to take care of her living expenses and she’s very stressing about it. She pay nothing when she live with us not even a roll of toilet paper or dish wash soap.

Wow this story is familiar with my own. The only difference is your in laws will say it to your face and my in laws does it behind my back. My husband is like yours where he does protect me. It got so bad that we did move to another state but unfortunately they still don’t like me or our child. I heard your story and I cried because I can’t ever imagine being so evil to my own daughter in law. As a Nyab for a Hmong family the only thing you want is for them to love you, love their son, and love their grandkids. Unfortunately for me that has not happened. I’m glad to hear that your mother in law eventually saw what she did was wrong and made amends with you. It’s been 17 years and I don’t think that will ever happen for me. Let’s pls change this cycle for our own kids and just love them and their spouse. Thank you for sharing your story.

What I have learned from people who are hateful to others is that I don’t ever want to be like them and treat others badly. My in laws disliked me for over two decades and if it wasn’t for my husband protecting and loving me, I would not be here either. So yes there are good men out there.

We all way hear about mother in-law complaint about nyab Hmong are bad evil never like her daughter in-law. Why we don't hear about the mother in-law said nice things about nyab Hmong. Those mother in-law deserved to have her son go marry different race women. I see some of daughter in-law from different race. The mother in-law just shut her mouth. She can not communicating with her daughter in-law no problems. If she talk to much she will be out of the house by nyab . But Hmong mother in-law have nyab Hmong she treat her nyab like slavery. Some of mother like her she need go to senior living by herself.

I can identify fully with this story. My MIL was like that and worse but my husband was always on my side 100 percent - like yours. But I never allowed her to talk over or down to me because I had to take her everywhere and do things for her and I defended myself to let her know I wasn’t putting up with her crap! Without a loving, supportive spouse, being a daughter in law is difficult.

I feel your pain and stresses, I am in the same boat too. We are the only son like you too. I deal with mine for 24 years and it gotten so bad that my husband finally decided to moved her out to live by herself since November 2019. However, your ending your mil changed her thinking about you. Mine still the same way no change.
