I heard two young women play this song tonight at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. This was amazing! I had to look to see if anyone else did it and I found these two. I love this!

I like how you guys looked at each other to make sure you were in the same place. It's so annoying when somebody is a measure behind or above and doesn't make sure to fix it.

So so good! You can hear a bit of Edgar Meyer in there, but so much originality as well.

Indudablemente la obra merece este escenario y el subsiguiente rugido aprobatorio del público.

I have been playing bass for 8 years now and I love it. I wasn't great at other schools subjects but I excelled at orchestra and all other music classes. And with that being said how dose one get to this point without having to get into a college? I just turned 20 and I want to preform but I don't know how to get started.

Going to college is darn helpful, simply because it allows you to dedicate a lot of hours to practicing. College enrollment or not, what's most important is that you have a good teacher, and that you're dedicated to practicing with focus (and a metronome) on a regular basis. If you live in (or near) a city of reasonable size, you probably have a professional orchestra within driving distance. One approach is asking a member of that bass section to teach you - or just research bass teachers near you and see which one seems to have an approach that best meets your goals (or see if a bass professor at a nearby university/conservatory will take you on as a student). I also think it's a great idea to join a volunteer community orchestra if you're not already in one, since it will allow you to continue honing your ability to play in an ensemble (particularly critical for bass players), and allow you to grow your musical network.
