That's absolutely true! We need more games to be designed around physical simulation, that leverage the possibilities it unlocks to create intuitive, open-ended, problem-solving opportunities instead of canned solution design. Instead of squandering the additional hardware resources every generation on higher resolution graphics, we should be playing with 360 era fidelity and use all of the additional compute from the last 2 generations to dedicate toward physical simulation and to more sophisticated scripted AI (though it seems likely that dynamic AI will get focus next gen and largely supplant scripted AI).

@jez.c For some reason on other podcasts there's been too much backlash against people who don't like HB2. I've even heard podcasters say "you don't get it" if you don't like it or "you went in with the wrong expectations". If it didn't meet your expectations as a consumer...it's ok. Don't replay it to simply force change your perspective on the game. I think a lot of xbox podcasters wanted this to be a better game and are blaming the consumer for their opinions when the consumer is just being honest.

I think phil has already teased the future. Xbox will release a PC that they call xbox something. It will be similar to a cyberpower from best buy or alienware. They will also have a “steam deck” most likely will come up with a way to have you able to get achievments through other stores games. So u play god of war on your “xbox PC” and xbox will automaticly detect your on steam and give you xbox achievements.

When discussing E-Day sequels, I don't know if I'd focus on "already knowing the outcomes" as the main reason for not doing more than one. For a long time, people have wanted to hear that story, which supersedes knowing what happens post-prequel. It adds an extra layer of meaning to the events that will happen later

Really don’t think they need to be trembling in their boots about being to close to AC, Avowed is a game pass drop and ac is 70$ for the first half of the game, 110$+ if you want the whole thing. Time line in game's, one game, big game release 4-5 year's after another, so why story in game can't be 1 year after another? 10 year's in universe can cover 40 year's.

I feel like Banjo Kazooie should be their nostalgia trip game just like Astro Bot has become. With the popularity of the Crash N. Sane Trilogy, I believe it would still have a great ROI. Make it like a Doom (2016) where you revamp the classic gameplay but now with Banjo’s wheelhouse of hub worlds and platforming. You could also have Easter eggs just like Doom had with retro levels or cameos from Rare’s past like Joanna Dark (Perfect Dark), Kameo, Conker and now even Sea of Thieves. You could also lean into the musical side of things with their names ‘Banjo’ + ‘Kazooie’ and tie in their umbrella of studios now being with Activision to include Guitar Hero segments in Boss fights like the new Crash has. Finally, just like Rare Replay and Astro Bot, garner the popularity of nostalgia and cameos by looking to include other IPs from Xbox: have a Doom FPS level just like original Banjo Tooie did, maybe include a fairytale level like Fable is doing with Jack and the Beanstalk or even have a kid-friendly horde level with cameos from Halo and Gears. All this is just the tip of the iceberg of creative freedom that the eventual developer’s could have and even if they don’t do all I’ve listed and do a Crash N.Sane Trilogy with remakes of the originals in a bundle or Crash 4 treatment with a new franchise entry, I think it would please fans and shareholders.

Larian has been quite active with patches, their not lazy. If the hardware could've ran splitscreen then would'nt this have been done by now if there was no hardware gap between the X and S? Because i do clearly remember phil stating at the time this wasnt due to parity but then later larian confirmed that it was due to parity... Parity clause shouldnt even be an reality but i digress. Not the end of the world cause wukong is an multiplat game as was BG3 but yeah not great optic wise.

We’ve been through this Tango thing a million times! Hi-Fi Rush was critically received BECAUSE the fans received it well first before the media could preview it and give the Xbox-tax downgrade reviews. WE ALL said it was genius to shadow drop it back then because of that. Leadership probably listened to the community and agreed. It might’ve been a good idea to finish the new trilogy with Gears 6 before this game with the cliffhanger and all. On Hellblade 2: the game has absolutely found it's audience. It has 9/10 'Very Positive' score on Steam (impressive because the Steam crowd is hard to please), and 4.3 stars on Xbox store, both with thousands of reviews. Most people who've played it love it. The game doesn't have to be for everyone to be special.
