I can't publish that on KZbin because KZbin removes any links to those websites and I only use games I have obtained through dumping my own disks. Try Reddit How do you play Skyward Sword with an Xbox Controller? Skyward Sword is motion plus which I don't recommend or cannot get working properly with Dolphin just yet.

So I set my controller up 100%. There's only one problem whenever I play Super Mario Galaxy my cursor can't reach corners it kind of just stays 2 in away from all edges and I've played with it a lot still nothing for some games it doesn't even let me get through the menu because I have to select something in the corner

while in the wii remote configure under motion simulation: -turn relative input on -turn auto hide on -set the yaw and pitch at about 18-20 degrees voila. the real way to play smg on dolphin :)

Thank you so much. I was struggling with Animal Crossing: City Folk on my android device because the buttons were all over the place and I had no idea how to set up the emulated WiiMote pointing. I followed your instructions and then made some slight modifications and now it works so well. Your instructions helped me figure out how to adjust the R stick sensitivity for the pointer, and also to find the "hide" option so that the pointer isn't always visible (which affects the gameplay in Animal Crossing). Great video!

for D-pad controls i recommend this particular setup: up: `Pad N` + `Right Y+` down: `Pad S` + `Right Y-` left: `Pad W` + `Right X-` right: `Pad E` + `Right Y+` for example, if you play MySims or any game that uses the D-Pad for camera movements, it can be nice to use the right stick for this since left stick is already for walking

Thank you for your video. It inspired me to look further :) In fact it's possible to have only one preset for Mario / Ray / Ball : - My 'Left Joystick' makes mario move. - If i maintain 'Shoulder L', it make the wiimote to stand vertical and the same 'Left Joystick' is used to move the ball (1) - Else if i maintain 'Shoulder R', the 'Left Joystick' control the manta ray (2) (1) I needed to put a condition in two checkbox if 'Shoulder L' to actually switch wiimote to vertical. (2) I needed to change the movement sensibility if 'Shoulder R' to avoid shaking when changing direction. I also put shake on 'B button', near the Jump 'A button'. And put 'A' again, on 'Thumb R' to easy select on screen for all the interface stuff

At First i tried using Dolphin standalone app but It was unplayable because i couldn't change the controls, so i used Dolphin core inside retroarch and It worked, but once i got to loopdeeloop galaxy It was impossible to go on

Just in case anyone bumps into this and is discouraged by the fact that it doesn't work with Skyward Sword, don't worry! There is actually a way to play SS with a controller, you just need to have the most recent version of Dolphin (the beta ones, NOT the stable 5.0 release). In fact, few weeks ago a completed SS wih a XBox One controller with no issues. The only parts I can remember having a bit of trouble were the ones where Link has to thrust his sword into the ground to enter the SIlent Realm, but there's only like 4 moments like it in the entire game, and just wiggling the analog in all directions sometimes does the trick or something.

I know it exists I just don't like it right now. And with all the games coming out I want to play I don't have the time to test it. I always use Beta Dolphin. I'm glad it worked for you. When I made this video it was much worse than it is now

Thanks for the tut! Standard works fine in Mario Galaxy 1, but while surfing, I just jump up and down in the water, even though I use the surf profile and I've double-checked that every button is set up correctly for my Xbox One controller :( EDIT: ok, just figured it out. Seems like SMG1 is different to SMG2 when it comes to surfing? I just have to press A to move forward instead of "tilting" it with a button.

in my opinion you should just have the point set to your mouse and the tilt to your right joystick. This way you dont have to switch between profiles. But for this to work properly you should make sure the A button is set to A *and* the left mouse button. This way the menu is easier to select. And for starbit shooting i would do B *and* right mouse button.

When using a Steam Deck, you essentially have more options provided you have the buttons mapped appropriately. I like the idea of using the right trackpad to move the curser and gyro for tilt controls.

My config for skyward sword which is pretty comfortable so far (I have gotten to Lanayru Mining Facility). A: A B: B X: 1 Y: 2 Dpad: Dpad LB: Z RB: C Start: + Back: - Left stick: nunchuck stick Left stick click: shake nunchuck Right stick: point wii remote Right stick click: shake wii remote RT+right stick: swing wii remote RT+left stick: swing nunchuck LT+right stick: tilt wii remote (this works for flying your loftwing and beetle, as well as inserting the keys into temple boss doors.) The only thing that's a little finicky is trying to lock your sword upright for a skyward strike, but it is possible

I'm so confused - I have Dolphin 5.0 but my options screen looks different, and does not have that option to check. It has a dropdown menu where I can choose emulated wii-mote, then a thing called balance board and an option for Real Wiimotes. I can not figure out how to activate the nunchuk. Every game I load says to plug in the nunchuk.

Maybe the community can provide recommended pre-configured control profile for motion control games in particular. So when you load a Wii game with motion controls you can opt to use a popular profile or edit it for your own preferences.

I got Skyward Sword perfect with a wired mini usb Xbox controller, all functions are working perfect even controls and button sequences i didnt know about when i used to played Zelda, on Wii, i didnt know Link could do backflips and flat ground leap in all directions, Im on Retroarch Dolphin core, videos posted up here on youtube soon and reddit retroarch forum. I had to switch A and B around. Wiimote shake is tricky 3 buttons to prompt throwing trajectory cursor R2 and Y, then A, then R analog tap to shake / throw, after dashing LT is roll/ nunchuk shake. R anolog controls pointers Zelda Menus are select and start, best part is F1 menu which i dont have on my keyboard, it opens windows 10 menu, the Big X icon button opens the Controls Menu!!!

There should be a dolphin folder on your Xbox. I haven't used it in about a year now. So I'm not sure where the emulator is at on Xbox.

If mouse and keyboard is an option Google "Primehack releases", it's a special dolphin file with controls built in for a Metroid Prime Trilogy ISO

for some reason whey I configured my controller, R trigger is twirl jump, but mario is not "dashing" (put on as X or A); I rearranged the controls, and suddenly the only thing I can do is jump. I was hoping xbox360 would be X-dash, A-jump......left trigger for twirl, etc. (new super mario Wii)

I have loaded the wii contorller profile that comes with dolphine just to have the motion settings because the wii remote and the switch pro controller are identical in motion settings and it worked with me as if i'm playing on the wii. I'm wondering why many people don't know that i feel i'm the only one who figured that out
