While realistic graphics will always be my personal preference, I also like the saturation and contrast Avowed has. Even if it’s a little cartoony, it still looks REALLY good from a visual standpoint. I’m looking forward to it.

Avowed looked so good to me, I was so confused when I saw people saying they thought the graphics were bad. I really liked the more colorful look, it gave me slight Fable vibes which I loved. I was honestly questioning if I watched something different than the negative Nancies but I suspect maybe console warring?

Im loving the art style of avowed, and i agree that it seems like it will age well grom a visuals standpoint. Now we just wait to see if the gameplay and story hold up. I have a lot of hope, i believe in our fellow gamers at obsidian.

If people think avowed is too saturated, it’s pretty easy to down down that setting on your tv or pc… just set it to below the normal number. For example, my tv basically does this through color and contrast, turning color down would achieve 80% of the desaturation and contrast could easily cover the rest. To me, it looks AMAZING

Visions of mana is important to Xbox, this is the start of the new relationship between Xbox and SE. ff14, mana and more games will be coming to Xbox finally. This was a solid for SE to showcase a game on a platform they aren’t as popular, and for Xbox to show a deeper penetration into the Jrpg/Japanese players. IMO.

Maybe it's just me but I was kinda bummed from what I saw. Avowed looks very cartoonish and I guess I was expecting something more darker and serious based on the original reveal a year or so ago. Indiana Jones 1st person only, I'm kinda meh. Idk I feel like I need to see more.

The people complaining about Avowed's artstyle are the photo-realistic graphics crowed. Anything that doesn't look photo-realistic, they gripe and moan about. I personally think the colors and graphics in Avowed look fine. It's almost on the same level as The Outer Worlds. Despite some small issues I have with it, I'm honestly looking forward to Avowed.

Xbox gonna screw around and make me buy an Xbox haha. Avowed shocked me the first cgi trailer grabbed my attention and I was excited then the next trailer came out with a completely different art style and vibe. But that combat and morality in the game brought me back. I honestly thought Indian jones was going through some kind of issue because it got announced way to early and then we didn’t get anything about the forever but after that trailer I’m apologize for ever doubting. The rest I’m happy people are excited about those games and they look good, but not my thing. Overall I think X-box needed this after redfall’s disastrous launch. And starfield’s mixed one.

I thought Avowed looked really nice. I love the choice of gameplay. You can play it like Skyrim, you can play it like a spellcasting game or you can play it like a first person shooter. Indiana Jones I think it looks good… I do wish they would give people the option to play in first person or third person. I thought it was cool that it does pull out the third person for action sequences, so maybe that will satiate the people who really want third person. But it looks like a great game and I can’t believe it’s going to be out this year… at least, hopefully. HellBlade II looks good, but I am a little concerned over their statement that it’s going to be a shorter game. I don’t mind shorter games, actually sometimes I prefer them… But what does that mean for people playing? Six hours? Eight hours? 12? Are they putting everything they have into storytelling and the gameplay is going to be secondary? I was kind of lukewarm on the original game. I thought it was good, I liked the story… But I didn’t find it to be spectacular. So maybe the second game will change my mind. I guess we will see. The Square Enix game wasn’t my cup of tea, but I can understand why people like it. The other one, I love, RTS’s… I’m just hoping that it has mouse and keyboard functionality. As some of the games leave it out and I’ll never understand why. Choice is never bad for the customer. Let them play it how they want to and not how you tell them to. I thought it was a great showcase, and just a taste of what is to come throughout the year. I can’t imagine what they are going to show at their summer event. I’m hoping that Fable finally gets a 2025 release date… and we finally hear more about Rare’s game. Which was reported to be in somewhat of a development hell. Because they supposedly didn’t know what they were making. We just know that it looks pretty. I was hoping for a RPG with those graphics, but I heard it was going to be more of a farming type game or something. Who knows? 2024 looks incredible for Xbox fans. Finally getting the single player games that we’ve been waiting for, that look next generation. and with Game Pass, we get to play them for $17 a month. Pretty amazing.

Avowed's style doesn't bother me at all. I also took the wands as just as weapons and spells are something else. I'm fine with not seeing the full gamut of spells we can cast yet, I'd like to be surprised. Hellblade never pulled me in so it stands that #2 will not either. I was also surprised at the release timing and how good Indy looked.

Everyone should defo try hellblade 1 so they understand the style of the game before hating. Similarly, people should try pillars of eternity (if they can) 1 & 2 to understand the world of Avowed. loved the show and liked all games on show.

My only complaint about Indy is that his satchel is supposed to be on the inside of his jacket. They have to fix this or it’s really going to bug a lot of the og fans of the franchise. Also a little bummed about 1st person but in the end I think it will make the gameplay more fun.

Avowed looks better to me now than it did the last time I saw it. Not sure about the combat though. I don't like the pauses. So I hope when the game comes out, the combat feels more fluid than it looked in the showcase.

I think I’m unfortunately too set in my ways. I like my fantasy to be more gritty and darker in tone (Lord of the Rings, Dark Souls, Dragons Dogma, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, God of War, etc.). I was really excited for Avowed from the very first trailer but the subsequent things I’ve seen it’s way too clean and colorful. I’ve just lost interest. I’ll still give it a go as I love Obsidian’s writing. Fingers crossed they change my mind.

Also I know a lot of people have opinions on exclusive titles like how it builds your brand. I honestly feel like it does nothing but hurt consumers. It creates drama and after the hype it hurts sales for the studio. If your a company that owns the studio it honestly seems like a problematic view of the industry. Especially when the gaming service like game pass is your money maker. A competitive console could pay billions to compete or just make game pass available to your consumers with it being their choice and collect money you wouldn't otherwise get. Seems silly.

Sony and Microsoft went in different directions during the last generation of consoles. Sony focused on exclusive games and Microsoft focuses on turning their gaming system into a home environment center. Sony won the war with exclusive games. That victory tells the corporate overlords that you need exclusive games to succeed.

Any game that doesn't sell on the other console is so much of a loss. The people that are purchasing the console I doubt it would make much difference. But your right would be too easy to work out a deal and all their customers have access to all the games.

The Avowed graphics are great iunno what people are talking about. "Too saturated" "too colorful" not every fantasy game has to be grim dark grey and brown, it isn't Dark Souls, and honestly I think the whole dark/grim fantasy look is a little worn out these days. They wanted a more vibrant fantastical world and it looks good, tbh I think mfers are just being nitpicky.

Avowed, and game Devs/XBOX--keep saying they desire the ability to have the player play how they want, but IMHO consistently fail again and again in the most basic of options..."SWITCHABLE PERSPECTIVE"...PLEASE GIVE US 3RD PERSON OPTION ON ALL GAMES. In this day and age, with the tech available the player should have this OPTION. I refuse to buy or play games that are only in first person, especially those with melee combat. To me, a 45 year old gamer veteran, the movement in 1st person only games is disorienting, nauseating and inaccessible. I wish devs would remedy this as they are alienating many gamers who are unable to play these games because of only offering one perspective. ARA looks great. I will buy a compatible keyboard and mouse for Xbox.

Ive no issue with Avoweds art style, but I think the combat and animations look incredibly janky. Weapon build and combinations are definitely interesting, but it all looks very imprecise and not overly impactful. But hey, in hand it may well play fantastically. We shall see.

A C+ show for me. They have too much games announced and some neglected. Suddenly Clockwork, South of Midnight, Fable and EverWild are hush hush? Could’ve kept the momentum from the game awards and gave us a tease for Blade, give Kojima a segment where he explains OD. They have all the arsenal but very compulsive in terms of management.

I like avowed. I just dislike games that only give you a third person perspective as I feel disjointed from the whole story. Third person to me makes me feel like a spectator and not a player. It’s a shame as I’d have played it if it had least given the option of first and third.

am I the only that things the badges guy is horrible looking the voice actor don't fit the Charecter and the lip syncing was Off and the lighting in Avowed is off it 10% or so to bright and HELL BLADE II Digital only 50 dollars & abourt 8 hours I was expecting a 70 dollars 15 hour experince and a physical retail version to me it was a 6 out of 10 but digital only 50 dollars dragged it down to a 5 out of 10 Indy I need to see it & play it Square was the suprise knocking on the door but didn't fit the DD as it should be First party & I get why WE are Healing With Square-Enix but still strange.

Everything looked great but I'm surprised ninja theory has spent the last 6 years making a 4 hour game.... I was really hoping the scope would be bigger than the last game and that doesn't seem to be the case it seems to be the opposite... the first game was 7 hours and if it wasn't shorter than that they wouldn't of said anything about the length but their first description was a shorter story
