XBOX Gamepass Hate Exposed... Why Spend More

My nephews are 9.5 and 11 years old. Both wanted a new console for Xmas. If my sister who is a single mother had opted to get them a PlayStation. In a year’s time the only game they would have would be the game it came with(having to buy 2 copies is unaffordable). When I showed her the value of game pass she decided to get them a series s with game pass. For people less flush with cash game pass is by far the best option.

The crazy part it isn't about how much you have it's about how responsible you are with money. A game cost 70 gamepass is 20. Invest 50

Hell for people with cash it's better. I'm not bragging but I have all platforms and their services. Ps plus, Nintendo switch online, and game pass. First of ps plus is a joke but I still pay for it because my kids play games online. I have NSO because I'm nostalgic for n64 games. But game pass is really all a real gamer needs imo.

The problem with game pass is if you really like a game and they take it off GamePass. Sorry, but Ill go find a pre-owned physical copy instead (remove The Surge 2 in the middle of my playthru, NEVER subbing again)

It's because Playstation doesn't offer anything even half as good as xbox, thats their problem with it, and its tge only thing exclusive to xbox, that dony fans want and do not have

VG, I don't use Metacritic but for the sake of argument, four years ago, someone combined the Metacritic scores of all Game Pass games and 123 games were rated between 80-84, 58 games rated between 85-89, and 27 games rated above a 90. (you can look this up) so him saying Game Pass has no quality games is BS. Not to mention how the service has drastically gotten better over the past few years

People will go on about gamepass somehow lowering the quality of games when the service itself literally lives or dies based on the quantity of its content. If the games aren't good and or interesting to play people will just cancel their subscription and leave. Then there are tons of games that have no connection to gamepass at all that are completely crap... but yet gamepass is still somehow blamed ha

I'm sick of my mate going on about Playstation being better and he's a hypocrite because he's owned Xbox consoles and used to game mainly on those. I tell him I do not care what Playstation do, I don't like their consoles, up until recent years their controllers were awful and they've slowly copied the Xbox controller shape. I tell him Xbox has Game Pass, and his pathetic argument is "you're renting the games though you don't own them" which is just dumb. The cost of Game Pass for the year is cheaper than buying the games I'd want to play outright when games are a rip off now. Paying more than £60 for a game when some are £80-£100 is criminal especially when those more expensive ones just include some DLC or some Skins. Those should be included in the game not an extra. Game Pass has recently enabled me to play Stalker 2 day one, Indiana Jones day 1 and upcoming games that will be game pass day one like Sinper Elite Resistance, Avowed, Atomfall, Doom, Fable, Ninja Gaiden 4, Clockwork Evolution, GOW E-Day. Then there's games that could be coming to Game Pass like Cronos The New Dawn, Outer Worlds 2, Borderlands 4 and new Fallout and Bioshock games. Without Game Pass there's no way on Earth I'd be playing more than three of those games. Game Pass allows you to try a plethora of different kinds of games for your small monthly fee. I consider myself to be a true gamer in the sence that I like to play a lot of games. Playstation fanboys can stick to playing just Cod or Fortnite all the time.....BORING. What you paying so much money on a console for to play just a couple of games. I couldn't care less what Playstation do or the people who love them so much do. As long as people enjoy the games who cares

Hey vg my take on this is xbox is proconsumer and will be better off in the end of the day and they will have a huge advantage in the upcoming gaming shift as people are either waiting for pc or just skipping it outright I will go as far as saying that sega had the perfect blueprint just didnt have the funds to back it up

They dont like paying for COD and minecraft and overwatch 2 and elder scrolls online and sea of thieves and grounded and fallout 76 and then the single player Xbox games all to fund Xbox players to play the games for a small subscription fee. But instead of blaming Sony they blame Xbox and everyone they can target as an Xbot. VG needs an Xbot T shirt.

they got some indies day 1 on PS+, they have a higher tier with game catalog but its a much older library, they get a lot of sloppy seconds from GP (for lack of better term lol)

They act like if you sub to GP, you can no longer buy games 😂. I've said it before, the only problem Ponies have with GP is that it's not called PS GP. If Ponies kick up and make noise, tell Sony "We want GP on PS or we're out." Sony would bend the knee and GP would be on PS. Just like cross play. The PS base made noise and Sony gave in.

Yo VG have you seen Geeks and Gamers 2 video on how Phil Spencer is happy to support Switch 2 but finds it a problem cause he does not want Nintendo games on other platforms. Yet ignoring a lot of nintendo games have become multi platform like Fatal Frame, Goldeneye N64, Goldeneye reloaded Wii and The Wonderful 101 for example. He finds it a problem that exclusive games are coming to other platforms but its very happy to receive Microsoft/Activision/Bethesda games cause they are irrelevant or trash (his words not mine). Whats your thoughts on this old mentality?
