Microsoft and Xbox continue to make questionable decisions regarding their brands. Opting to get the most money but at the cost of their fans. It seems like they're going the route of Sega and may just become a game publisher soon enough. The console market is tough, but Microsoft just keeps giving Sony the advantage.

I’ve owned a 360 plus every PS. I personally prefer the Sony controller myself so that was my tie breaker. That being said I truly want XBOX to be successful because competition makes for better products and gaming is already in a valley.

I think this is very damaging to the brand I feel like all those people that invested into an Xbox series X that was $500 is being screwed over royally The whole reason I bought an Xbox series X in the first place is to play Forza Horizon 5 and now it’s going to PlayStation This is definitely going the Sega route.

Tbh, this was to be expected, the Activision acquisition essentially forced Xbox to make a return on investment. Also, by bringing games to steam, they already reduced the significance of the box, Sony is slowly liquidating their brand this way too. In the future, xbox and Playstation will likely be competing for 70% revenue on steam. Steam will be the only platform with exclusives

You don't understand the market. Microsoft lost the console battle. Microsoft won the war by creating an online service that can be played on almost any device. Consoles are dead. Within 5 years, the only devices on the market will be Roku-like devices (like the Nvidia shield) or PCs. Only handhelds will remain.

You don’t understand the market. More people have a PS5 than subscribe to Xbox gamepass. And people that play on PC don’t use gamepass as their primary way to get games.

$500 for a console that lasts 5-8 years or minimum of $1k for a PC that can run close to a console that has parts that go obsolete quicker it seems. console is a much better value. I say this as someone hwo has both a console and a PC

The only thing I can say is that, Xbox may be making the same mistakes Sega did, but at least Sega is still around and has kept everything about itself unlike Atari who got ripped apart and multiple parts sold to other companies

Me and my friends were in party chat and I said exactly same things. I'm a Playstation guy always have been but I absolutely love Forza to a point I would always get a Xbox just for Forza and sometimes State of Decay. So ofc I was super hype at the announcement then I realize dang it's literally no point in buying Xbox ever again. This may be the last generation of Xbox. Grand scheme idc it doesn't effect me. The truth is though if Don't has nobody biting at the ankles I fear the quality of playstation will drop with no real opponent to worry about or try to out do.

You mean billion dollar publisher Sega who are currently living it up based on Sonic movie receipts? I really don't get the premise of this video. It's like you forgot about Sega when the Dreamcast died and ignored the fact they turned into a publisher. I get the premise from the video but man. What a surface take. The video touches on the fact that Sega pivoted from consoles to being a publisher. That's the entire point, eventually Sega jumped ship on hardware and moved elsewhere. Nowhere in the video did i say sega isnt doing well financially. Just stating that theyt moved on from consoles, which seems to parallel what xbox may do in the future.
