If it's just for streaming you can get a laptop equivalent that will do the job for much less $$. A Mac book air likely won't be able to do it as they are low powered laptops and don't really meet the minimum specs. It may work, but I'd say not very well

Hey man, unless I missed it, i need some help, I’m using Astro a50’s which only have a micro USB on the headphones, I bought the elgato chat cable ect For the elgato HDs and I’m using an elite controller which has an aux port on it. Any tips on getting this setup so I can record game and party audio to my pc ? I don’t think this video covered people using be a50’s and where’re to plug the chat cables etc . @@F4CEpa1m the set up I wanna do is with my Stealth 800x head set , Logitech C922 webcam & Audio Technica Mic . Connected to the Xbox without a PC . Which is why I came across your video. I know how to do it but figured your video would have a good bit of useful info And I'll use that set up running only through my Xbox one X & possibly Project scarlet Until later on when I can get a legit gaming/ streaming rig & the Elgato 1080 60 s or 4k60 pro capture card to then do over lays & all that fun fancy streaming stuff.

If your PC can't run the elgato software (elgato doesn't recommend U processors in the 4th or 5th gen) or you don't want to buy it and you just want to do KZbin and not stream, Xbox DVR has a feature that lets you record up to an hour of footage to a connected external hard drive. Then you can use the dummy account setup to record the entire party chat and a smartphone to record a video of you playing the game. Your headset is plugged into your controller as normal. When you're done, take the hard drive from the xbox and plug it into your pc. Do the same with your phone. Now you can merge all 3 in a video editor and upload it.

I really hope i can get a reply. Im trying to figure out why my Steel Series Arctis Nova 7 Pro echo the party chat when I set the party chat output to Headset & Speakers. I'm thinking I shouldn't hear it AT ALL in my headphones using the Speaker setting. Changing it to the Headphone only setting makes the audio disappear "obviously". So why is it that when I have it set to the Speaker setting I do hear it through my TV speakers and at the same time my headphones??? Am I the only one having this issue???

I stream on the xbox with elgato game capture card and chat link cable. Only issue I have during streaming is my party chat. When someone says something it will repeat the same thing around 7-8 seconds later. Any ideas how to fix this? Many thanks

I have a wireless headset but you assumed that wireless headsets have the usb connectors that look like flash drives... I have a wireless Razer headset for my Xbox and a siren elite mic. You gotta be clear about this man. People want to include the Xbox party along with their voice in the stream without using their headset mic and with a usb mic and using a wireless headset!

Ok I watched the entire video a couple of times and before I get started I just want to say fantastic job this is really well done, this is the type of answers people are actually looking for and you went over just about every possible solution, however, first of all what I am trying to do is record the game wirelessly through my headset while also talking with a party, and yes you have a solution to that problem however your solution is to talk through the pc and that therefore means I am giving up my game audio for party audio only, is there a way that you can compose that will allow me to not only record party audio but game audio also without needing to buy a splitter and seperate mic as that therefore wouldn’t be “wireless”, hope you can help this is the true question I am seeking and the answer is so complex and hidden it’s impossible to figure out

Then use obs which is a free software and record or stream and edit and put overlays etc so then don’t need a capture card? Saving me £150? or am I missing something?

This video is absolute gold but I have a question. I have the Seele series arctic 9x which connects to the Xbox like a controller does (uses the same connection and sync tech as the controllers). Do I still need to use it wired or will it connect on its own? I’m using wireless Astro A20’s and a Blue Yeti. On the base station for the headset, there is a switch for either Xbox or PC. So connecting the usb to my pc, and and the opt cable to my Xbox wouldn’t really work because it’s one or the other. Watching the section of wireless headset + mic is a bit confusing because once again it’s either pc or Xbox. I would really appreciate if you could help.

hello. My twin and I are trying to stream to be able to capture audio and chat as well. We went to go buy astro a40 tr + mixamp pro tr (2019) Our setup is an xbox one x, hd60s game capture card, acer xf270h 27' monitor, and bought an extra auxillary cable - (audioquest) to be able to plug into the PC from the mixamp to the PC to be able to capture audio. Wondering what i might be doing with the setup wrong as i cannot hear audio on the headset but i still hear sound from my built in speakers of my monitor. p.s i have already downloaded the astro command center for win10 and update the firmware on the mixamp with no problem. But could it be a problem if i didn't plug in my headset when i did that? Second is the aux cable i bought has directional cables on them...is there a correct way to use them but can't tell as i still hear no audio. p.s.s we also bought your udemy course and we reached out as well and still no answer regarding this question.

I have a Samson G track pro external USB MIC. I want to use my external mic to talk to my friends, they hear me and talk to me back. And use regular headphones just for listening purposes. I have the el Gato to pick up the chat but nothing has worked. I bought so many different 4 pole cables, chat link cables, regular aux cables. and nothing. You didn't go into detail with the external mics and how to set them up...What should I do because im about to lose my freaking mind. I have tried so many ways to fix this and the best results was that my el gato picked both my voice and party chat BUT......THERE WAS THIS HORRIBLE SCREECHING SOUND every time someone besides me talked. I got a question.. my internet currently is at 400mbps down and 23 up I have an Xbox one x and I have a hp laptop with intel core i3 5010u and a 10/100 Ethernet card built inside from my research it’s only capable of 100 mbps max. I have a Elgato.. is it better for me to stream through my Xbox one x because my Xbox can get the full 400mbps or is it ok to use my laptop? The 700’s don’t come with that adaptor sadly... i have a cam, usb mic, TB 700’s, and hd60s. Still have to use the usb mic for my voice audio and i just run the party chat audio through the setting (headset and speakers) for their voice audio but you have to set up a delay in ya audio in obs using the usb mic for viewer to match the wireless headset for game and party audio.
