@SLAD3 Yeah, in the early years of Xbox Bethesda was just a small PC developer, their games became mainstream after MS helped them release their games on the Original Xbox and instead of selling hundreds of thousands of copies on PC they started selling 4 million plus on Xbox which for AAA games back then was huge, only games like Halo, Gran Turismo and GTA did those numbers back then. Morrowind was an Xbox exclusive and Oblivion came first on the 360 but I think the PS3 wasn't out yet when Oblivion came out, MS buying Bethesda really isn't shocking to me because for many years the 2 companies have had a very close relationship. I imagine that the people at Xbox were pissed when they found out that Sony got 2 timed exclusives from them and next were going after Starfield, I bet that's why they bought them, and also Sony was attempting to buy Bethesda as well.

Ok this is like the 40th comment regarding the same comment. Having a first party studio and then CREATING an IP is a first party exclusive. What Sony fans or fanboys are saying is that buying a studio with its own IP's and then saying they are exclusive is not the same. Bethesda has been always multiplat, and now its not because of "business". just like you dont expect Uncharted 4 or GOW or Bloodborne, sony fans don't expect halo or crackdown. But if sony bought From Software and took all the souls games with it, it would be the same. Or if sony bought Square and kept part 2 of FF7Remake off of Xbox it would be the same. However, will all that said I still think it was a good move by Microsoft and makes me excited to get my series x, but I can understand on the other side how that feels. But time will tell how it will play out

Morrowind was and is an Xbox and PC exclusive, and Morrowind was nearly Bethesda's swan song--if the game didn't succeed, we wouldn't even have a Bethesda or Zenimax. Microsoft boosted that game to high heaven and helped make that game successful, which in turn saved the studio. So successful that game was, and such good came out of that relationship, that Bethesda retained a good relationship with Microsoft ever since. The proof is in the future titles--people may not remember this, but Skyrim was literal garbage on the PS3. At a certain point, your save game would not run due to the way the game allocates assets, and it was similar with Oblivion (albeit Oblivion wasn't nearly as bad). Oblivion and Skyrim on Xbox, on the other hand, was the way to play on consoles. You can still find reviews trashing the PS versions. Sony had to pay out the ass to get Bethesda to release Oblivion and Skyrim on their consoles to keep it from being exclusive, and the performance of the PS version compared to the 360 counterparts speaks volumes on how late they started to put the games on PS and, more importantly, their priorities. So Xbox buying Zenimax and by default Bethesda is and should be no surprise to anyone given the history. We could argue over the difference between that and First Party Created IPs all we want, in the end its semantics and moving the goalposts.

Exactly let me give a great example, in a country like India a 60 dollar game is really expensive for many people to buy so the Game Pass ultimate sub comes at Rs 699 ($9.4) per month... So you get Gamepass and EA play at this low cost... Also majority of people here don't have money to spend on consoles and high end PC but PC gaming is big here and India is second largest consumer of smartphones after China and so when later in 2021, India gets the Xcloud support as well how great that package will be, just imagine... You are enabling an entire nation with 1B people (760M smartphones users approx) who can't cross that barrier of money play some amazing games on their phones and basic laptops in future... That's really an amazing business model and great for developing nations which these privileged fanbois don't see, gaming as whole will be a winner when more people experience how great it is...

Haven't had any wireless battery in any of my controllers ever run out. The $230 price tag for the external SSD is also hard to swallow. But overall yeah, MS is more consumer friendly.

Actually Microsoft built their relationship with Bethesda over many, many years. They released Morrowind on the first Xbox, then Oblivion on the 360. Zenimax wanted to sell their gaming division for a long time. I think Microsoft was the best candidate. I'm really looking forward to what they can achieve together.

A few games are copying everything shamelessly (read genshin impact and windbound), but others are mixing it up with their own thing, like gods and monsters, biomutant and towers. There are still gonna be Bethesda games coming out on Playstation like one of Bethesda's Playstation exclusive games and some of the games that are coming out soon but after that Playstation won't get anything from Bethesda. I honestly think PS fanboys are the worst type of fanboy. At the beginning of this generation nobody cared about exclusives it was all about 1080p and who had the best looking multiplats. In the beginning Xbox had more and better exclusives than sony but everyone downplayed them because the PS4 was more powerful than the Xbox One and had the best looking COD or Battlefield. But when Xbox got the power advantage with the Xbox One X everything changed and it was all about exclusives. I remember the PS fanboys saying that Battlefield 4 looked so much better on the PS4 because it was in 900p compared to the Xbox One's 720p.

I disagree.... Lucas's meltdown was still worse than this virgins meltdown. I swear... if I had a dollar for everytime I've seen these crybaby virgins cry out the word "fanboy" this past month.... I'd be worth more than Microsoft. I'm 40 and I've never been into video games. I am interested in getting into it. I have no horse in this race.... so there is absolutely zero bias here. I've found Microsoft to be more consumer friendly... and apparently made massive moves in the industry to bring the pain. Also.... Sony fans come across much much worse than Xbox fans. Nintendo has a reputation of making great game that have one flaw that makes no sense to be in the game. Sony have a reputation of paying off devs to cut portions of thier games only on playstation for at least 6 months. E.g. MW 2019 survival mode. In my oppinion, xbox has more right to have exclusive games and features since most of their exclusives are made by devs owned by microsoft. Sony really enjoys paying to inconvenience players of other platforms. One is worse here.

As a Nintendo fan, I think that one flaw is kind of rare in most Nintendo games and I'm heavily satisfied with vast majority of Nintendo games since they're good quality developers that have been around for long and do adapt and innovate in making creative exclusive games, but maybe its me lol. But honestly I'm glad the Xbox is going to get exclusives for both Microsoft Platforms, Xbox & PC. Good for Microsoft.

@Enzo Amore Not all other devices. Microsoft puts most of their games on two Microsoft controlled and benefited platforms PC & Xbox. Plus I really would want a Switch version of Microsoft Flight Simulator lol, since I know Microsoft really can optimize their games well for lower spec consoles, although the Switch is pretty much almost an original Xbox One in terms of GPU performance just slightly bit off for some games. But I'm fine with getting Flight Simulator for PC, Xbox One or maybe even a Series S if I could get my hands and have spare money for it lol.
